Job Description:

The Assistant Program Manager (APM) shall provide complete program management and administrative tasks over Armor and Infantry proponent instruction and facilitate adult learning through modern training techniques and methodologies to assist in developing Government-owned curriculum to ensure the requirements of the contract are met and to ensure the contractor adequately controls and supervises the personnel. The APM shall conduct overall day to day management coordination, scheduling, evaluation, and shall be the 316th Cavalry Brigade central point of contact for with the Government for performance of all work under the contract. The APM will oversee contract employees as part of instructional surge support staff to prepare and deliver instructional content, develop learning products, counsel, and test per POIs and Training Support Packages (TSPs) approved and validated by TRADOC Training Operations Management Activity (TOMA). The APM shall be the focal point for all issues and shall keep the Government fully informed, both verbally and in writing. The APM will perform duties as an instructor for the Cavalry Leaders Course.  The contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, administrative, financial, and managerial resources required to support this contract. Location of work will be on Fort Benning, Georgia.

Specific Duties (APM):

• Shall coordinate work schedules/assignments of contractor employees.

• Supervise contractor employees.

• Be familiar with all duties and qualifications stated in the PWS.

• Shall ensure all deliverables described in the PWS are delivered on time.

• Provide analysis of project requirements and accurate cost estimates.

• Provide project coordination and process improvements thru the Quality Control Plan.

• Provide and gather required information to assist with coordination support efforts.

• Provide timely and effective conflict resolution.

• Possess the skill sets to supervise contractor employees.

• Be capable of coordinating work schedules/assignments of contractor employees.

• Be able to communicate orally and via writing with the COR.

• Have the capability and authority to resolve and respond to issues directly with the COR. 

Specific Duties (Instructor, Cavalry Leaders Course):

• Technical, educational, and functional expertise to support the Reconnaissance and Security Portfolio with primary support to the Cavalry Leaders Course.

Requirements:

• Served a minimum of 12 months as Battalion Commander preferred.

• Served a minimum of 12 months as a staff officer in a maneuver BCT.

• Preferred Cavalry Leader Course graduate, previous instructor. • Four years serving in Reconnaissance and Security organizations/instructing Reconnaissance and Security course of no less than three weeks preferred.

• ASI C6, R7, or 6B preferred.

• Served as a leader within a Reconnaissance and Security organization preferred.

• Knowledge of ATP 3-20.96, ADP 3.0, FM 3.98, FM 3-90-1, FM 3-90-2. • Served in a Cavalry organization as a Troop Commander or Squadron S3/XO preferred.

• Verifiable experience at the senior executive level developing/delivering training or briefing.
