Position Summary

 

Summit Technologies is looking for a mission planning Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support USAF mission planning activities at our Hill AFB operating location. This leadership position is responsible for managing a geographically distributed workforce of System Support Representatives (SSRs) throughout the world. 

 

Responsibilities

 

A successful candidate demonstrates leadership and organizational skills to effectively manage the SSR work force.  As a SME, the candidate will enjoy challenges such as establishing subject matter expertise in several USAF mission planning software packages to include validation of installation instructions, managing fielding efforts, and troubleshooting/reporting of problems. Successful SME’s enjoy collaborative problem solving and executing solutions.  In relationship to the SSRs, this position is responsible for overseeing and partnering with their efforts in deploying, updating and maintaining mission planning hardware and software at the base level.  SMEs are also always looking to learn and grow in the many aspects of their position. 

 

Minimum Education, Skills, and Experience Requirements

 

·        Must have a minimum of a Secret DoD security clearance.

·        Must have a minimum of CompTIA Security+ or equivalent

·        Bachelor’s Degree desired.  Experience may be substituted for education requirements.

·        Proven leadership skills.

·        Knowledge of USAF mission planning processes and mission planning applications desired. 

·        Knowledge of DoD and USAF IT desired.
