Position: Cisco Certified Network Associates (CCNA) Instructor/Writer

Location: Fort Gordon, GA

Clearance: Secret 


Job Description- Provide technical instructor/writer support in basic networking applications and scenarios based on the Network Essentials module for the Cyber School at Fort Gordon, Georgia. Support includes, Cyber Operations Officer Certification (CYOOC), Basic Officer Leader Course (17B & 17D), Cyber Captain Career (CyCCC) courses and courseware refinement.


·        Training Support. Provide oom support, participate in operational tests, training material validation, and provide effective training IAW established programs of instruction (POI), the Master Training Plan (MTP), Army Learning Concept (ALC) 2015, USCYBERCOM J7, National Cryptologic Training System (NSA standards per DoDI 3305.09), and DoD Cybersecurity, Workforce Framework (i.e. DoD 8570 or 8140) training standards, and the requirements and deliverables.


·        Provide Classroom Instruction. Provide a learner-centric learning environment as per TRADOC Pam 525-8-2 paragraph 3-5 (20 January 2011).


 Job Requirements-


·        Possess a Secret Clearance.


·        Candidates must have three or more years of experience in the following:


o   Designing networks to meet projected throughput and latency standards


o   Building network infrastructure of varied equipment and topology


o   Securing network infrastructure from threats of various types


o   Use of network scanning tools and analysis of resulting output


o   Use of network redirection/tunneling, both manually and automated via proxy servers or VPN’s


o   Analysis of network flows and baselines to identify anomalies


·        Successfully completed Instructor training courses for CCNA Routing and Switching Introduction to Networks (ITN), Routing and Switching Essentials, Scaling Networks and Connecting Networks plus Cisco Network Academy Orientation course within the last eighteen months.


·        Possess accreditation to instruct CCNA Routing and Switching through a Cisco Networking Academy Instructor Training Center (ITC).


·        Possess a CCNA Certification or higher Cisco networking certification less than two years old.


·        Have six months experience instructing Cisco Networking Academy CCNA Exploration and/or CCNA Routing and Switch course materials.


·        Use of cloud-based Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and knowledge of how it affects networking performance/reliability


·        Maintain a valid driver’s license.


·        Possess skills/knowledge of performing office automation work that includes word processing, electronic mail, spreadsheets, presentations, and other personal computer applications.


·        Possess typing skills for a variety of materials from rough draft into final form including narrative and tabular material, e.g., correspondence, reports, and forms.


·        Experience maintaining records, historical records, survey results, reference library of training catalogs, regulations and other miscellaneous publications; establishing and maintaining office functional files and reference files.


·        Understanding of knowledge management applications e.g., SharePoint and Blackboard.
