Supply Management Specialist

The Defense Forensic Science Center (DFSC) mission provides full-service forensic and biometric support (traditional, expeditionary, and reach-back) to Army and DoD entities worldwide. Provide specialized forensics training and research capabilities, serve as Executive Agent for the DoD Convicted Offender DNA database registry commonly known as CODIS, responsible for technical management over the USACIDC criminalistics program, oversees mandatory training and certification of employees and laboratory accreditation, conduct research, development, testing, and evaluation.

Requirements:

• Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and 5-7 years of general supply and property accountability

• Knowledge of Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-A)

• Possess the knowledge and skills to perform all supply related functions within the GCSS-A system

• Familiar with GCSS-A operations in both the Property Book and Unit Supply modes • Ability to provide daily property oversight for all property assigned to the DFSC

• Knowledge of Army Accountability, Relief of Responsibility (FLIPLS), Inventory

• Management and Timelines Procedures

• Thorough knowledge of AR 710-2, DA PAM 710-2-1, AR 735-5, DoD Logistics

• Regulations, and related DA and DD Forms

• Extensive knowledge of hand receipt procedures

• Ability to communicate effectively at levels involving Intra-Army contracts, mid-level officials, managers, and laboratory managers, and professional Army, Air Force, DoD and contract representatives

• Ability to take an existing hand receipt, produced via GCSS-A, and assist the Primary

• Hand Receipt Holder (PHRH) in inventorying the section/branch to which the property contained is assigned

• Knowledge in the difference between non-expendable, expendable and sensitive items equipment and the inventory requirements of each category

• Experience dealing with lost, damaged, or destroyed equipment and know required FLIPL procedures to follow

• Familiar with the Army Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP) and be able to take/perform all actions involved in ensuring compliance

 Comprehensive knowledge of Army Regulations governing the timelines and methods to be used for the inventory of Army property

• Knowledge of Turn-in Procedures for Army Equipment

• Ability to accept/receive, and in some cases pick up, unserviceable/obsolete equipment from supported Primary Hand Receipt Holders (PHRHs)

• Knowledge of all requirements and have experience preparing equipment for turn-in to the assigned Defense Logistics Agency (DLA)/Defense Reutilization Marketing Office (DRMO) in both CONUS and OCONUS location

• Experience in creating DLA Electronic Turn-In Document (ETID)

• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs

• Knowledge of warehouse operations

• Ability to receive supplies and equipment obtained via Government Purchase Card or Government Contract

• Ability to account for and inventory equipment returning from overseas deployment(s)

• Ability to Understand Warehouse location systems

• Ability to differentiate between classes of supplies and equipment assigned to and required by a forensic laboratory

• Experience driving a 10K or below forklift

• Active Secret Clearance
