Project Officer specializing in Mortar System Future Technologies, S&T,
synchronization and coordination of Mortar Project Officers and LB, SRD, MRD, MCDID,
CASCOM, TRADOC, PEO Ammo, USMC, and CCDC-AC Leadership, as well as assisting with staff officer functions. Extensive knowledge of the Enhanced 81mm Mortar System, Family of Extended Range Ammunition (FERA)/Extended Range Mortar (ERM), the Automated Indirect fire Mortar System, the High Explosive Guided Mortar (HEGM) cartridge, the Automated Mortar Turret (AMT), the Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV) Mortar Variant, the M326 Mortar Stowage Kit, Common Weapon Pointing Device (WPD), the M32A1/M32A2 Lightweight Handheld Mortar Ballistic Computer, M150/151 Dismounted-Mortar Fire Control System and M95/96 Mounted-Mortar Fire Control System. The contractor shall coordinate with Product Manager (PdM) Precision Fires and Mortars (PFM), ensuring that mortar funding requirements are fully identified. Project officer will provide support to other LB project officers / programs as
required.
Qualifications:
· Minimum three (3) years Combat Developer experience or Project Management
experience or Section Leader/ above leadership position in combat arms branch.
· First-hand user experience with previous (last 15 years) and current conventional
mortar/indirect weapon systems that support the dismounted and mounted combat
arms/special operation units.
· Secret Clearance
· 10 years Active duty military experience required.
· Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Capability Developer Level 1 Qualification
· minimum of six (6) years of AD service in combat arms or special operation units.
· Proven extensive knowledge (minimum 4 years) experience with equipment, enabler, weapon, or ammunition of assigned task area.
· Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) documentation system experience
