The Army Interagency Training and Education Center is the
National Guard Bureau lead for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and
high-yield Explosives and Critical Infrastructure Protection training. AITEC is
an active National Guard unit supporting training and education utilizing a
cadre of military and civilian subject matter experts for homeland defense and
civil support activities. The CBRNE Training Battalion is tasked with the
mission of training and evaluation of the 17 CBRNE Enhanced Response Force
Packages, 10 Homeland Response Force Teams, and provides scenario-based
training for the 57 National Guard Weapons of Mass Destruction Civil Support
Teams. AITEC personnel support National exercises such as the U.S. Northern
Command and National Guard Bureau sponsored Vigilant Guard, Vibrant Response,
and Joint Patriot Exercises. These exercises are joint and integrated
operations within the first response community. .
The project manager (PM) for the WV Critical Infrastructure Protection – Mission
Assurance Assessments (CIP-MAA) team augmenting the Army’s Critical
Infrastructure Risk Management (CIRM) Program. The PM is responsible for institutional knowledge
and subject matter expertise to support HQDA’s Integrated Risk Management
Process IOT identify, analyze, assess, and communicate strategic level risk.
Support to the CIRM Program to reduce risk to the Department of Defense (DoD), the
Department of Army, Combatant Commanders (CCDR), and National Security and
Defense strategies. Ensure the overall success of AITEC’s ability to Perform
CIRM requirements outlined in HQDA Executive Orders and Army Regulations.
Analyzes the mission and strategic goals as outlined in operations plans,
directives, and regulations in order to plan, develop, coordinate, and
implement Army G34 and WVNG direction and guidance.
