Title:  Telecommunications Mechanic II
Work location: Fort Indiantown Gap, Annville PA 17003

 

Job Summary:
The Telecommunications Mechanic is responsible for configuring, maintaining, updating, and troubleshooting mobile devices (both Android and iOS) and Video Teleconferencing Systems. This work is completed through the Remedy ticket management system. The Telecommunications Mechanic also ensures the proper functioning of conferencing equipment for routine customer use at the work site. 

 

Related work experience required (# of years): 4 years desired (2 years minimum) in mobile device maintenance and operations. 4 years desired (2 years minimum) administering and maintaining video teleconferencing systems and services relating to the video teleconferencing field including maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and configuration. The ideal candidate will have at least basic experience with installing, configuring, operating and maintaining mobile device software updates and ensuring functionality of mobile devices for customer use. 

 

Education/Degree: Bachelor's degree preferred in audio/video technology, computer science, engineering, business, or other related discipline; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. 

                                                                                

Knowledge, skills & abilities:
- Understanding of video teleconferencing products

- Understanding of Android and iOS software, functions, common issues, and device solutions
- Understanding of and ability to operate conferencing equipment including scheduling audio/video conferences and coordinating the maintenance of this equipment

- Ability to work with remedy ticket management in order to ensure all required information is collected and entered into the tracking system

- Must be able to read and write effectively in English.

- Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.

- Must be able to identify and analyze technical problems with customer conferencing systems and work efficiently to solve the problems
- Must have excellent time management and organizational skills 

- Must have the ability and willingness to learn multiple skill sets


Training & Certifications: 
- Must have COMPTIA Security+ CE certification.
