Pricing Analyst

Location: Columbus, GA (this position may be eligible for remote work)

 

Position Summary

The Pricing Analyst will be responsible for the cost analysis process in support of contract proposal preparation, proposal cost volume development, cost estimation, and Business Development operations.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide in-depth, accurate analyses, modeling, reporting and strategic pricing and contracting solutions in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Quotes (RFQ), and Rough Order of Magnitudes (ROMs).
  • Review solicitation requirements to develop cost and pricing models to align with solicitation requirements.
  • Monitor, evaluate and refine pricing and contracting models.
  • Work collaboratively with all internal/external customers, partners and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in cross-functional or other project teams; taking a leadership role in appropriate projects.
  • Develop price-to-win scenarios, support and build competitive cost analysis.
  • Create standard templates and pricing models.
  • Provide support and leadership for contract proposal preparation, proposal cost volume development and cost estimation.
  • Ensures adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) policies and procedures.
  • Supports price and rate negotiations with teaming partners.
  • Ensure assigned goals and objectives are met and that assigned projects are completed on time, to high standards and within budget.
  • Tools: apply proficiency with common business office tools including the Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by management. 


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Statistics, Business or related field.  Relevant experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.    
  • At least 3 years of experience with pricing and/or financial operations  
  • Knowledge of different contract types (FFP, CPFF, T&M, IDIQ, BPA, CTA, etc.) and their proper use
  • Knowledge of contract pricing models.
  • Understanding of indirect rates, direct labor development and labor hour allocations
  • Advanced Excel and mathematical skills.
  • Assist capture and sales team on price to win strategies
  • Working understanding of, and exposure to: Varied government proposal solicitations, with the ability to interpret and diligently comply with all instructions for cost/price/business sections of our proposal; international pricing; the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and agency FAR supplements; differences in the range of contract-types (e.g. fixed price, T&M, labor hour, cost-reimbursement, driving all into a well formed, accurate and competitive price proposal.
  • Familiarity with the compliance and budgetary relationship between contract/proposal pricing, contract award values, contract performance periods, and project reporting.
  • Experience with Defense Contract Audit Agency auditing processes
  • Attention to quality detail in the areas of records and documentation, business processes, customer satisfaction, and workload prioritizations.
  • Communications: must be a strong listener and customer focused with excellent internal and external facing written/verbal communication skills;
  • Dependability: must be able to work independently, accept mentoring, and contribute in a team environment; Discretion: must work with discretion and handle confidential data.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the capability to manage multiple priorities and short deadlines.
