The instructor/system operators are responsible for the operation and preventive maintenance of computer hardware, software, weapons system, target systems, video and audio control panel operation, after action review processing and playback. The Instructor/System operator operates the system in support of various drills and or exercises for Active Army, Army Reserves, or Army National Guard units as they conduct EST and related weapon instruction.

Instructor/Systems Operators will be responsible for performing the following tasks:

·         Operate, teach, develop, and deliver instructions for the most current versions of Engagement Skills Training II, to include its other associated and non-associated weapons training simulators (i.e. Laser Marksmanship Training Systems and Low-Cost Advance Target Senior.

·         Instruct and train operation tasks for the EST II to Soldiers and Government employees on Basic Rifle Marksmanship IAW DA PAM 350-38 and certified or approved ESTII Program of Instruction (POI).

·         Prepare, evaluate, and deliver assigned instruction IAW The U.S. Army Learning Concept for Training and Education to include differentiated instruction, available operational instructional materials, training aids, and systems.

·         Assess and provide training certification and recertification for new instructors and Instructor/System Operators

·         Evaluate performances of users requiring remedial training and provide special assistance when necessary.

·         Certify and train the trainer to satisfactorily perform or conduct the training of other military personnel utilizing the EST II and facilities.

·         Operate the computer control station in order to (IOT) control training sequencing and video/audio playback functions, to include performing duties based upon manufacturer’s diagram and specifications, schematic and wiring diagram.

·         Load all scheduled preventive maintenance into the TS-MATS web-based program IAW -10 operation and maintenance procedures required for the EST II.

·         Conduct daily maintenance and cleanup of the EST II training facility.

Minimum Qualifications:

·         High School Diploma required.

·         Eligible to receive a Govt issued CAC.

·         EST II Training Instructor/Operator Certificate.

·         Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC) / Common Faculty Development Instructor Course (CFD-IC) certification preferred.
