Position Summary

The Military Analyst will be responsible for providing experienced Capability Developer and Test and Evaluation (T&E) project support services for the Army Futures Command (AFC) Maneuver-Capabilities Development and Integration Directorate (M-CDID) at Fort Benning, GA.

 

Minimum Education, Skills, and Experience Requirements

·         Must possess an active Secret clearance

·         Must possess an Information Assurance (IA) baseline certification (and supporting completion documentation) per Department of Defense (DoD) 8570.01-M (see https://iase.disa.mil/iawip/pages/iabaseline.aspx for the full list)

·         Must be able to perform capability gap and Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel, Facilities, and Policy (DOTMLFP-P) analysis; develop, write, assemble, and staff capability requirements documents, Operational Mode Summary/Mission Profile, and Basis of Issue Guidance; perform Capability Based Assessment and Material Solutions Analysis; conduct market survey and product research; and develop Critical Operational Issues and Criteria (COIC) and Doctrinal and Organizational Plan (D&OP) for operational test

·         Must have practical experience in the operation, employment, or sustainment of combat vehicles and mounted weapons systems such as M1 Abrams Tank, M2/3 Bradley Fighting Vehicle, Stryker family of vehicles, M113 Armored Personnel Carrier family of vehicles, HMMWV Armament or TOW Carrier, Joint Light Tactical Vehicle, Ground Mobility Vehicle, Light Armored Vehicle 25, and Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) family of vehicles

·         If assigned to Mission Command (MC) functions, must have practical experience in the operation, employment, or sustainment of MC systems such as command posts, Army tactical networks, Blue Force Tracker, Warfighter Information Network-Tactical, and various Very High Frequency, High Frequency, and Satellite Communication systems

·         Must have a working knowledge of the U.S. Army and how it functions; its organizational structures with emphasis on BCTs and their functions; and a basic understanding of Army doctrine and operational concepts

·         Must demonstrate skill in operating a computer in order to input, retrieve, develop, and manipulate a variety of data and working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office tools to perform said tasks

·         Must have successfully completed Defense Acquisition University (DAU) CLR 101, Introduction to Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System; DAU ACQ 101, Fundamentals of Systems Acquisition Management; and DAU RQM 110, Core Concepts for Requirements Management, and provide supporting completion documentation. Note: The requirements for these DAU managed courses may be satisfied by documenting a similar course that provides the same level of knowledge.

·         Must have a working knowledge of JCIDS and its processes

·         Must possess effective writing and analytical skills

·         Must have received formal training or instruction on the DoD acquisition process

·         At least two years’ experience in Capability Developments or Defense acquisition

·         A relevant combination of the above education, skills, and experience
