Foreign Military Sales Subject Matter Expert

Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Subject Matter Expert (SME) provides support for all foreign platforms that utilize the mission planning software. This list currently includes: C-130, C-17, C-27, E-3, F-15, F-16, F/A-18, JPADS, KC-130, KC-135, KC-46, and RC-135. Other platforms may be added later. The contractor shall verify that hardware and software requests from all international customers are fully approved by proper USG authorities via the Letter of Offer and Acceptance (LOA)/MPE Letter process prior to release.

Initial Tasks:

·        Prepares training material (users guides, binders, pocket checklists, other material as required) to support FMS customer

·        Prepares Installation Technical Orders and Hardware Technical Orders

Long Term Tasks:

·        Provides SME support for FMS related platforms

·        Provides Help Desk support

·        Travel as necessary to both CONUS and OCONUS locations to provide integrated hardware and software logistical support

·        Provide product familiarization training to FMS operating locations

·        Hardware and software accountability (shipping, tracking, re-ordering, labeling, licensing, warranty, etc.)

Qualifications:

·        Attention to detail

·        Understanding of computer hardware and software troubleshooting

·        Experience developing, modifying, validating, and delivering technical publications

·        Background in training

 

Travel: None initially, extensive in the long term

Clearance: Secret
