EV Connect is looking to hire a Test Engineer to support Charger Operations.  This role will be responsible for supporting the onboarding of EVSE manufacturers and the ongoing support of these Partners.  The candidate will need to build deep domain expertise of our Partners’ products to support internal and external stakeholders, including customer support, installers, customers, etc.  He/She will also need to drive continuous improvement with the manufacturers and Charger Operations team based on test script creation and reporting findings and results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop test scripts and design testing processes to support hardware, firmware, and software certification for EV charging equipment.
  • Execute the certification testing for new hardware and software as well as new firmware releases.
  • Document testing procedures and results and maintain documentation libraries.
  • Work with the Systems Engineer to validate and test new Scopes of Work (SoW’s)/ work instructions prior to release to other teams within EV Connect for execution.
  • Maintain the lab space, charger samples, and test tools and equipment.
  • Maintain a lab schedule to communicate with internal and external stakeholders, scheduling test times and communicating lab availability and capacity.
  • Assist with open technical topics for testing and resolution.
  • Assist in reviewing, testing, and validating new charger equipment and/ or systems from various hardware vendors.
  • Assist in reviewing and ensuring accuracy of various EVSE manufacturer’s technical documentation.
  • Partake in requirements gathering, review, and execution of operational improvements to charging stations.
  • Engage with designated vendors on the EVC network with a for engineering, testing, and quality review topics.


Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor’s in mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in Electric Vehicle charging
  • 5+ years’ experience in a technical support role or product quality role
  • Ability to triage and root cause technical issues
