This position will be responsible for partnering, supporting and managing the strategic and commercial relationship with EV Connect’s premier global channel partner for EV Connect products and services. This role is responsible for this function in the United States. EV Connect is one of the fastest growing and most widely deployed charging network software platforms (SaaS) in the fast-growing Electric Vehicle (EV) charging industry.  

Candidate must have demonstrated ability to develop a sales channel and execute on a marketing plan so as to maximize the results from a single strategic channel partner. This includes actions to enable, develop, motivate and support the partner and its associated sales channels through regular meetings and pipeline management, marketing support, product and solution shaping, etc. Internally you will keep an accurate forecast and share upcoming pipeline to facilitate team readiness. For someone with prior indirect or channel management experience, this is a great position for a talented and ambitious salesperson with tremendous growth potential with a laser focus on one major strategic partner. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • You are the business owner for a strong strategic channel partner in a fast-growing industry and you will embrace your territory’s revenue generation goals and success.
  • You will do so in a way that fits within EV Connect’s existing partner network and processes.  
  • Engage with this channel partner to understand their business needs, as well as the business needs and objectives of the ultimate customer, to ensure sales of EV Connect products and success for all parties involved.
  • Ability to serve various industries through this channel partner across the US.
  • Create and deliver concise and compelling sales presentations for this strategic channel partner and continue to assist them in their efforts.
  • Facilitate and manage an indirect sale that involves multiple products including EV Connect’s software and partner products (such as charging station hardware).
  • Conduct periodic reviews with the strategic partner to determine how well the objectives of all parties – EV Connect, the channel partner and the customer – are being met.
  • Drive the entire sales cycle, arm in arm, with the channel partner, from prospect engagement/qualification, quote creation, contract negotiation, customer purchase order, etc.
  • Have a proficient understanding of all products and services offered by our company as well as by key partners.
  • Manage opportunities in CRM (HubSpot) and record key activities on prospect and customer interactions in the EV Connect customer relationship management system.
  • Travel 20% within territory, including to trade shows and industry events as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional experience building relationships with indirect partners, be it resellers, channel partners, VARs, etc. Added bonus if that experience includes any of the areas identified below.
  • Proven success meeting sales objectives on a regular basis.
  • Experience pursuing pure greenfield opportunities.
  • Must be self-directed, able to work independently, as well as work in a team-oriented and fast paced environment. This is a nascent and fast growing industry so adaptability is key.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions and drive success.
  • Experience using a CRM system, e.g. HubSpot.
  • Have an ownership mentality, one in which you embrace the responsibility and all that comes with it.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience selling to sustainability professionals or in solar, energy efficiency, energy management or electric vehicle charging is a plus.
  • A passion for sustainability, electric vehicles, and/or clean transportation is a plus.
