EV Connect is seeking a QA Engineer near the Irvine/Lake Forest area who shares our passion for electric vehicles and their ability to positively impact transportation, air quality and energy independence for generations to come.  The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years’ experience in testing methods and best practices in an agile SDLC, including functional, smoke, regression, end/end, hardware integration and test automation.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform integration testing between EVSE’s and EV Connect’s proprietary SaaS
  • Configure/Supervise EV Connect’s testing hardware located in Lake Forest, CA Lab
  • Test credit card hardware integration with EVC’s CMS platform
  • Generate and maintain documentation outlining test procedures and results
  • Supervise lab test stations, credit card readers with EVC’s SaaS for internal and UAT testing
  • Investigate and troubleshoot system functionality and performance issues
  • Execute regression testing on various hardware/software/firmware versions

 

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience with QA Hardware/Software integration testing in the EVSE space
  • 2+ years hand-on experience with EV Charging Equipment
  • 2+ years experience with OCPP testing tools
  • Quick learning self-starter who can claim ownership of hardware/software testing domain
  • Must be very hands-on and willing to collaborate with multiple teams for system testing
  • Comfortable in a hardware lab setting and occasional travel for customer/vendor onsite visits

 

Bonus:

  • B.S Electrical Engineering or similar degree
  • Experience with automating OCPP payloads
  • Experience hands-on with Payer/Nayax terminals
  • Experience with Postman API test tool or similar
  • Experience with SQL/No SQL queries
  • Experience with Kibana/Elasticsearch
