Organizational Overview:

Immunovant is a publicly traded, clinical stage biopharmaceutical company committed to developing innovative therapies for patients living with autoimmune diseases. We are developing IMVT-1401, a novel, fully human anti-FcRn monoclonal antibody, as a subcutaneous injection for the treatment of multiple autoimmune diseases that are mediated by pathogenic IgG antibodies. Phase 2 clinical development is ongoing with Phase 3 preparations underway.

 

The Role:

The Immunology Research Scientist will report to the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) and will work closely with other members of the IMVT-1401 project team. He/she will support the CSO, undertaking research on topics relevant to the development of IMVT-1401.  He/she will be exposed to different areas of nonclinical and clinical research within the company, providing an excellent platform to learn about the science and art of drug development. This is not a laboratory-based research role. The Research Scientist will have the opportunity to publish research findings, and /or to present data at key scientific meetings. The Research Scientist will be coached on the authorship of nonclinical sections of regulatory documents.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Developing Immunovant’s understanding of mechanisms of autoimmune disease, B cell biology and FcRn function
  • Developing external scientific and commercial relationships to enable disease understanding, and for the design and conduct of scientific studies (preclinical and/or experimental medicine studies) in support of IMVT-1401 development
  • Contributing scientific sections of regulatory documents, publications etc.

 

Requirements:

  • High energy, self-directed individual with excellent communication and writing skills
  • Recently completed (<5 years) a U.S. based PhD program in Immunology or related discipline
  • Candidate must be eligible to work in the US at the time of, and for the duration of their employment. Employees will be required to furnish evidence of US work authorization.

 

Preferred Requirements:

  • Track record of publications or presentations at scientific meetings.
  • A thesis in the field of B cell biology or adaptive/humoral immunity would be ideal, but other immunology fields also considered
  • Early career scientist
  • Interest in pursuing a career in translational science/drug development.
