Immunovant is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on enabling normal lives for patients with autoimmune diseases. Immunovant is developing IMVT-1401, a novel, fully human anti-FcRn monoclonal antibody, as a subcutaneous injection for the treatment of autoimmune diseases mediated by pathogenic IgG antibodies.

 

Immunovant is seeking a Senior Director - Neurology to play a key role on a highly dynamic cross-functional development team. In this role, the candidate will be the clinician responsible for designing and executing on the development strategy for IMVT-1401 for the myasthenia gravis (MG) indication. The individual in this position will have the unique opportunity to grow and shape the Development team of a rapid-growth biotech startup.  


Responsibilities:

  • Be the internal and external face of the MG program for IMVT-1401, a monoclonal antibody inhibiting FcRn in development for treatment of autoimmune diseases mediated by pathogenic IgG
  • Serve as a key member of the Clinical Leadership Team, providing expertise and contributing to the establishment of an effective, well-functioning organization
  • Establish a MG Scientific Advisory Board, engaging key opinion leaders from the scientific community in the formulation of our development strategy and the design of our clinical program
  • Partner with Clinical Operations to enable the timely execution of our clinical studies
  • Provide leadership in the analysis and interpretation of clinical data
  • Develop and implement a high-value publication strategy
  • Establish and nurture academic, scientific society, and patient advocacy group collaborations


Requirements:

  • MD or PhD with specialty training in Neurology
  • 5+ years’ biopharmaceutical experience, including 3-5 years as the clinical lead of a drug development program
  • History of successful interactions with FDA and other regulatory authorities
  • Experience in small biotech or working on a small cross-functional team preferred
  • Direct experience with biologics is required; additional experience with small molecules preferred
  • Consistently able to produce quick, thorough, and accurate work
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach, with high sense of urgency and drive for results
  • Natural collaborator who enjoys working on a cross-functional team
  • Exceptional analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
