The Role

We are looking for a Social Media Manager to join our Growth team. A great candidate is an energetic self-starter who loves to write and specializes in community engagement, social strategy, and data insights to help drive True Botanicals’ community presence and voice across all social platforms.

The primary responsibility will be growing the True Botanicals community on key social platforms through timely and strategic customer and influencer communications, reporting on data insights, and collaborating with both the creative and marketing teams to drive brand equity, awareness, engagement and sales.

What you'll do:

  • Establish appropriate tracking and KPIs for key organic social platforms.
  • Identify and evolve a unique, brand-right voice and aesthetic across Instagram and Facebook.
  • Create, plan, schedule, and post social content.
  • Collaborate internally to build holistic plans; maintain a social calendar that aligns with product launches, promotions, events and brand moments.
  • Drive the strategy, development and implementation of cohesive programs that deliver increased awareness, engagement and quality growth of True Botanicals’ communities.
  • Develop and deliver regular performance monitoring, analysis/insights and optimization of organic social programs to cross functional teams.
  • Articulate and realize the value of organic social programming on company’s revenue goals.
  • Expand organic social program into Youtube (currently instagram is main area of focus).
  • Facilitate daily, real time engagement with True Botanicals’ social communities -- engaging with relevant brand mentions/tags from fans and influencers, identifying relevant UGC for use on channels, monitoring conversations and all social programs.
  • Encourage growth of the True Botanicals social communities through engagement and acquisition tactics as well as developing dialogue with fans.
  • Collaborate with Influencer and Events teams to monitor influencer social engagement, track posts for amplification and proactive community tactics.
  • Build influencer relationships and coordinate partnership asks as it relates to social from strategic planning to list building to community engagement to amplification on all social channels.
  • Master the True Botanicals’ voice and write engaging community responses for social channels.
  • Increase sales, growth, and engagement from Instagram by AB testing shoppable features and putting paid behind top performing posts and stories, in liaison with the performance marketing team.
  • Monitor branded and non-branded hashtags to identify potential conversation trends.
  • Partner with the customer experience team, to monitor, escalate and answer customer inquiries via social in a timely and brand appropriate manner.
  • Build and maintain day-to-day relationships with key social media partners and vendors to stay up to date on the latest platform innovations.
  • Be a subject matter expert for all social platforms and social tools.
  • Think creatively about how we can reach new audiences outside of typical social channels exploring emerging platforms and experiences to strengthen the brand.
  • Stay up on cultural trends and strategies within the social space.
  • Always-on mentality, being available for live event coverage and partnerships as it relates to the brand.

About you:

  • 3-4 years of social media management experience, social media monitoring, content development and relationship building.
  • Passionate about True Botanicals and non-toxic skincare.
  • Experience creating content for social whether working in collaboration with a team internally or with an external agency, managing creatives, sourcing found imagery, and/ or shooting original content to bring our social strategy and campaigns to life.
  • Experience analyzing data, reporting insights and devising/implementing social strategies and programs.
  • Experience with social media publishing and moderation tools
  • Experience managing and building community on social.
  • Exceptionally strong writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and information clearly.
  • Expert knowledge of, and personal participation in, social media.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects with excellent prioritization and problem solving abilities.
  • Innate understanding of the True Botanicals brand aesthetic.
  • On top of youth-culture trends, the digital and social landscape and the ability to leverage this new media to reach, connect and influence consumers
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Thrives in collaborating with others inside and outside the company.
  • Uncanny attention to detail and extremely organized.
  • Self-starter who multi-tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of wellness and beauty market preferred.
