We are seeking Business Analysts (BAs) who share our values to join our team.

The Business Analyst is an intermediate-level position, requiring some previous experience as a BA and with Salesforce while providing opportunities to expand your professional skills. In this forward-looking role, you will assist our nonprofit clients in defining workflows, requirements, and solutions. You will participate in project discovery, design, configuration, training, and documentation with the goal of delivering an on-time and on-budget project that meets the holistic needs of our client's organization. Reporting to a Practice Lead and working as part of a team, we expect you to strengthen your existing skills in developing and configuring the tools and technology at the core of our clients’ solutions.

Our primary toolset is deployed on the Salesforce platform, so we require at least two years’ prior experience with Salesforce for this role.

Responsibilities of a Business Analyst

    • Understand clients’ needs and facilitate their setting of project goals and objectives
    • Gather technical, functional, and process requirements
    • Collect business process needs and provide recommendations for improvement
    • Facilitate client meetings
    • Manage client time effectively
    • Report on project status
    • Configure Salesforce-based tools and technology per requirements
    • Recommend, configure, and integrate 3rd party tools including fundraising, event management, document generation, and form tools 
    • Conduct testing and track issues and their resolution
    • Create business process documentation and contribute to the Craftsman knowledge base
    • Stay up to date on Salesforce releases and relevant tools 
    • Deliver end-user training to clients

Required Qualifications

    • 2+ years’ technical experience using Salesforce
    • Salesforce Certified Administrator credential
    • General nonprofit experience and commitment to the nonprofit sector
    • Relevant technical and client-facing skills
    • Commitment to learning technology skills and nonprofit practices
    • Ability to travel on occasion

Preferred Qualifications

    • Four-year degree
    • Demonstrable experience in technology project deployment
