As a Data Technician, you will provide on-site support for the installation and maintenance of miners, mining equipment, servers and software.
Success in this role will require a love for technology and a wide range of skills in cable management, and electronics repair. Experience with Linux logs, PCBs, raspberry pi projects, general technology DYI projects, PC building as well as general electrical and mechanical knowledge is preferred.
We are currently hiring for the following shift: Sunday - Wednesday 7:00p-5:30am CT
Job Duties
- Install and maintain data center devices including servers and/or software
- Complete daily walkthroughs, inventory, and system checks
- Maintain records of all events and logs and submit daily and weekly reports to the off-site team
- Provide practical troubleshooting solutions and get ahead of problems before they start with basic hardware (ASIC)
- Receive and ship data center equipment
- Rack and install incoming equipment in a timely manner
- Performs maintenance activities related to cleaning (e.g., maintaining clean machinery, and a clean site appearance)
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- All appropriate licenses or permits to drive in your local area
- Ability to lift and carry 40-70 pounds
- Ability to walk long distances (from one side of the center to the other and back frequently based on need)
- Ability to withstand cold and hot temperatures
- Availability to be on call to work emergency shifts, which may include evening, nights and weekends (when needed)
