About the Role

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of  processing and shipping customer support orders, the receipt of customer service parts inventory from internal and external sources, and the storage and inventory management of service parts.  To accomplish these responsibilities, the Supervisor will interact with personnel from multiple departments; Production, Customer Support, Inventory Control, Purchasing and all warehouse personnel.

This position is supportive of company goals and inter-departmental cooperation. The Warehouse Supervisor communicates effectively to the department and other management to convey data and information critical to implementing and achieving objectives.  The Warehouse Supervisor develops and builds self-reliance and motivation within the department and leads by example.

 

Responsibilities

  • Actively pursues continuous improvement and ease of doing business to meet or exceed customer needs and to further overall company goals and objectives.
  • Leads weekly team meeting with department employees to work on process improvements.
  • Establishes and maintains measuring systems for continued quality improvement within the warehouse environment.
  • Supervises and maintains the department.
  • Enforces company and department policies and procedures.
  • Establishes individual performance goals with department employees.
  • Trains temporary personnel and cross-trains team members to increase team effectiveness and manpower efficiency.
  • Creates and fosters an environment where teamwork, a commitment to improvement, and an urgency to do it today is the focus.
  • Team member and pivotal person of liaison with managers, directors and other supervisors within the facility developing working relationships and communication between those departments.
  • Understands necessity of adapting priorities to meet multiple / opposing demands and has capability to shift resources accordingly while still maintaining high levels of performance.
  • Must be able to competently function in a demanding, high performance, and fast paced
  • During the weekly quality meeting devotes the appropriate time to discussing safety related issues.
  • Recognizes importance of maintaining safe working conditions within warehouse environment and works toward that objective while balancing issues of operational priorities, personnel morale and high demands from internal departments.
  • Communicates all safety policies, procedures, and updates to the warehouse staff both verbally and through written documents, meeting notes, logs etc.
  • Communicates and demonstrates to department employees the importance of emergency response procedures, material safety data sheets, and job hazard analyses.
  • Will maintain warehouse in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Maintains a log of daily safety inspections of all warehouse equipment.
  • Assure that all warehouse personnel operating forklifts have proper training and certification.
  • Be familiar with CPR, Bloodborne Pathogen issues and First Response requirements.
  • Maintains the department expense levels inside the agreed upon and established budget forecast.
  • Is competent and knowledgeable regarding purchase/lease of warehouse equipment including mechanical handling devices, racking material etc.

 

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • 5+ years’ experience in leading a team in a high-volume warehouse environment, including receiving and use of various material handling equipment.
  • Awareness and use of warehouse logistics, barcode inventory tracking, and warehouse location systems, preferably in warehouse environment.
  • Experience with inventory control techniques and cycle counting.
  • Experience with International shipping and related documentation.
  • Ability to attain and retain fork lift certification.
  • Computer literate with emphasis on familiarity with spreadsheets and word processing.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of shipping and Warehouse processes and tools
  • Demonstrated knowledge of supervisory and leadership skills
  • Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Ability to develop strategies, action plans, and metrics to monitor results
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Able to perform essential job duties of the warehouse associate position

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Experience with SAP and Agile

 

Pay Range: $72,000 to $85,000 

 

The pay range represents the low and high end of the anticipated pay range for this position based at our Woodinville, WA headquarters. The actual pay offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.
