About the Role

The Global Controller oversees financial operations, manages accounting staff, and ensures accurate financial reporting. Responsibilities include financial analysis, budgeting, implementing accounting policies, and liaising with auditors. They play a crucial role in compliance with regulatory standards and contribute to strategic financial decision-making. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills are essential for success in this role.

 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of global accounting operations, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Lead and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
  • Establish and enforce accounting policies and procedures to maintain compliance and meet SEC, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) rules.
  • Liaise with auditors, ensuring successful audits and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Implement effective risk management strategies to safeguard financial assets and interests.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 9+ years of relevant experience required.
  • Proven experience as a senior-level accountant or financial leader.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Demonstrated success in financial analysis and decision support.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA preferred
  • Accounting experience in a manufacturing company highly preferred.
  • Prior experience in public accounting (preferably with a “Big 4” firm)
  • Proven ERP implementation experience

 

Total compensation: $220,000-$270,000

The pay range represents the low and high end of the anticipated pay range for this position based in WA. The actual pay offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.
