ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting production and logistics operations as well as all facility infrastructure within the Precor facilities. Internally this includes coordination with our manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, engineering, and administrative teams on initiatives and day-to-day work. Externally this role manages and collaborates with our vendors, suppliers, and trades contractors.

The schedule for this role is working a 4-10 or 5-8 schedule. This is including the flexibility to work overtime as needed along with the ability to be on-call (rotating weekly schedule) for afterhours support and alarm calls.

 

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PRECOR

  • Actively pursues continuous improvement and ease of doing business to meet or exceed customer needs and to further overall company goals and objectives.
  • Understands philosophy/execution of Total Productive Manufacturing {TPM}, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and methods to eliminate waste and maximize uptime.
  • Responsible for understanding the Precor Safety Policy and for practicing safe work habits on the job. Must also attend regularly scheduled department and safety meetings.
  • Willing to actively attend professional development courses.
  • Performs regular safety inspections of various building systems and equipment.
  • Assists in the planning, installation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, electrical apparatus, and electrical/electronic components on industrial machinery.
  • Installs, programs, and repairs automated machinery and equipment, such as robots or programmable controllers.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs hydraulic, pneumatic systems, and mechanical systems.
  • Working knowledge of electrical codes, blueprints, schematic diagrams, and other specifications as required.
  • Uses hand tools, power tools, and electrical/electronic test equipment, i.e., multimeters, amp clamps, megohmmeters.
  • Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.
  • Clean machines and machine parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment.
  • Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists.
  • Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications.
  • Assists in the inspection and testing of facility support machinery and equipment using electrical/electronic test and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
  • Ability to set up and operate metalworking tools such as lathes, mills, or metal saws to fabricate or repair parts is desirable.
  • Able to work on and troubleshoot HVAC, CNC, Robotics, Powder Coating, and key systems assigned to organization.
  • Is willing to work in overhead areas up to 30 feet by means of man-lift and operate forklifts and other industrial powered vehicles.
  • Possesses above average computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word and Excel to complete paperwork as required, e.g. work orders, time sheets, purchase orders, and TQ tracking.
  • Procures materials and spare parts from vendors as needed.

 

YOU BRING TO PRECOR

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 5+ years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Valid WA Driver's License required.
  • Electrical Certificate/License/Qualified Electrician or other key Maintenance component standing, or other technical industrial training & certification preferred.
  • Strong sense of customer service and a proven track record of successfully meeting or exceeding customer needs.
  • Flexibility to work as part of a team as well as take on and complete individual tasks. Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is a plus.

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Will be exposed to noise in the manufacturing environment (managed under Hearing Conservation). Will be exposed to temperature fluctuations in a warehouse/shop type environment. When operating air and power tools, hands and wrists are exposed to mild to moderate vibration. Work with or around sharp and hot or cold objects. Safety glasses and safety shoes are required; gloves and hearing protection are required in select areas; others as necessary. Safety apparel is provided on the job site. Minor exposure to hazardous substances may occur in certain areas (while wearing proper PPE). Will be exposed to hot or potentially dangerous machinery in some areas. Some outside work with exposure to prevailing ambient weather will occur.

Physical Requirements as follows. On occasion, able to stand for long periods with intermittent walking. Able to lift 30-40 pounds from floor level to waist height repeatedly throughout a 10-hour shift. Able to lift 30-40 pounds as needed. Ability to routinely spend time using your hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Ability to routinely spend time bending or twisting the body. Spend time kneeling, crouching, stooping, or crawling.

Base Salary: $30.00-39.00/ Hr

 

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our Woodinville, WA headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.
