About the Role

As a Sr. Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the operational excellence of Precor’s production and logistics facilities. This includes leading advanced troubleshooting and repairs of industrial equipment, supporting preventative maintenance, and driving facility infrastructure improvements. You will collaborate across manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, engineering, and administrative teams, while also managing relationships with external vendors, suppliers, and contractors.

This is a first shift role working from 6am-2:30pm during the training period. Once trained, this role will transition to a 4 day, 10 hour shift schedule.

This role requires participation in on-call rotation for after-hours support of maintenance issues, fire and intrusion alarm calls.

Pay Rate: $40.00-$44.75/hr plus full time benefits including:

Responsibilities

  • Lead troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of industrial machinery including CNC mills and lathes, air compressors, conveyors, robotic welding equipment and curing ovens, with a focus on hydraulic, pneumatic, automated and mechanical systems.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee complex repairs and preventative activities, including dismantling machinery, testing components using hand tools, chain falls, power tools, and electrical/electronic test equipment (i.e., multimeters, amp clamps, megohmmeter) to identify root cause of failures.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, identify and solve electrical issues.
  • Support planning and installation of electrical/electronic systems on industrial equipment. 
  • Able to set priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of dynamic job responsibilities.
  • Coordinate the work of external contractors and vendors to ensure timely, high-quality maintenance and repair outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records including equipment failures and repair activity using a CMMS system.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks while ensuring safety and minimal operational downtime.
  • Drives continuous improvement to enhance equipment reliability, reduce costs, and support company goals and objectives.
  • Use powered industrial equipment including forklift and elevated work platforms as needed.
  • Lead safety efforts by adhering to the Precor Safety Policy.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required, technical certifications preferred.
  • 4+ years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment with proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex industrial machinery.
  • Valid WA Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Strong sense of customer service and a proven track record of successfully meeting or exceeding customer needs.
  • Strong PC skills, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, and CMMS software.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Metal fabrication and welding skills.
  • Electrical Certificate/License/Qualified Electrician or other key Maintenance component standing, or other technical industrial training & certification preferred.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and coordinating multiple projects.

Working Environment

Work is performed indoors in a heated modern factory space.  Ambient working temperature may range from 50 F – 90 F, depending on the season.  The work area is clean and free from wet, slippery conditions. Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection and gloves.  A respirator may be required if applicable.

  • Ability to lift to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to frequently (6-8 hrs.): talk and/or hear, see, stand, use hands, reach at or above the shoulder.
  • Ability to routinely (4-6 hrs.): bend, do simple finger grasping, lift waist to shoulder.
  • Ability to occasionally (2-4 hrs.): walk, lift floor to waist, reach above the shoulder, push, and pull using wheeled carts and bins.
  • Ability to on a rare basis (0-2 hrs.): Sit, kneel, or crawl, stoop or squat, twist, use of feet (foot pedals), lifting shoulder to overhead, climb (small ladder) or balance.

 

The pay range represents the low and high end of the anticipated pay range for this position based at our Woodinville, WA headquarters. The actual pay offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.
