About the Role

The Inventory Control Specialist oversees various aspects of inventory control, such as data entry for all delivered components and working with internal customers to assure inventory accuracy.  Additional responsibilities include proof checking all inventory transactions for accuracy and doing daily cycle counts.

This is a 1st shift role working onsite Monday-Friday at our distribution center in Greensboro, NC.

Pay rate: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

 

Responsibilities

  • Audit packing slips for all NC facilities in SAP.
  • Daily verification of all transactions are required to eliminate inaccuracies.
  • Assist in coordination and data entry during physical inventories.
  • Work with purchasing and accounting on resolving any packing slip issues.
  • Assist in daily cycle counts of designated areas. 
  • Take actions necessary to achieve goals in improvement of inventory accuracy.
  • Assist in physical recounts of parts.
  • Researching cause(s) of inventory inaccuracies from cycle counts.

 

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of cycle counting experience.
  • Effectively plan, prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Effectively communicate ideas in a professional and courteous manner
  • Listen to others and act appropriately on the information provided.
  • Enter numeric data using 10 Key.
  • Use a personal computer.
  • Use a variety of computer programs including Word, Excel, Email, and the Internet.
  • Present a professional appearance and congenial manner.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Ability to work hands on with multiple departments.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post High School vocational training in clerical skills or general business functions
  • SAP experience

 

Working Environment

Work is performed indoors in a heated modern factory space.  Ambient working temperature may range from 50 F – 90 F, depending on the season.  The work area is clean and free from wet, slippery conditions. Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection and gloves.  A respirator may be required if applicable.

  • Ability to lift to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to frequently (6-8 hrs.): talk and/or hear, see, stand, use hands, reach at or above the shoulder.
  • Ability to routinely (4-6 hrs.): bend, do simple finger grasping, lift waist to shoulder.
  • Ability to occasionally (2-4 hrs.): walk, lift floor to waist, reach above the shoulder, push, and pull using wheeled carts and bins.
  • Ability to on a rare basis (0-2 hrs.): Sit, kneel, or crawl, stoop or squat, twist, use of feet (foot pedals), lifting shoulder to overhead, climb (small ladder) or balance.

 

The pay range represents the low and high end of the anticipated pay range for this position based at our Woodinville, WA headquarters. The actual pay offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.
