About the Role
The Supply Chain and Operations Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of supply chain and operational activities. This position is responsible for supervising daily supply chain functions, including inventory control, production scheduling, supplier coordination, and logistics support. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, process-driven, and capable of leading a team to meet performance targets in distribution environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day supply chain operations, including inventory management, material procuring, and production monitoring.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of finished goods.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess and obsolete stock.
- Manage warehouse including tracking warehouse space, inbound and outbound delivery rates.
- Supervise logistics team to ensure smooth custom clearance and arrange inbound trucks.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry in SAP related to supply planning and inventory transactions.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) including On-Time In-Full (OTIF), Days Sales of Inventory (DSI).
- Identify and resolve supply chain issues that may impact customer delivery.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to align supply plans with sales forecasts and operational capabilities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency and team performance.
- Maintain accurate supply chain documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Prepare and present reports on supply chain performance metrics.
- Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management, business, operation or related field
- 5+ years of supply chain, demand planning, or operations in a manufacturing or distribution environment; with 1+ year of supervisory experience
- Experience working with an ERP is required; SAP, Oracle or similar platform experience
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across departments.
- Familiarity with supply chain KPIs and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
