The Role

We are seeking a strategic and operational finance leader to serve as the VP of Commercial Finance, supporting the Peloton Commercial business, including Precor. In this role, you'll partner closely with the Commercial CEO and the leadership team to shape financial strategy, translate business goals into clear financial plans, and drive performance across key metrics.

You’ll oversee end-to-end forecasting for the commercial P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow, ensuring alignment with Peloton’s central FP&A team. Ideal candidates bring a balance of strategic vision and executional excellence, with the ability to turn data into insight and insight into action.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the annual budgeting and long-term financial planning processes for the Commercial business. Conduct scenario modeling for new business initiatives and provide project management support for ongoing strategic initiatives. 

  • Provide data-driven insights to support strategic planning, pricing models, and investment decisions.

  • Recommend and support measurement and reporting of overall commercial business key performance indicators, including support for root cause analysis and corrective actions when KPI’s are not on plan. 

  • Provide regular insights into operational variances related to sales forecasts, supply chain delivery, labor efficiency and utilization, product acquisition cost variance, and other core areas of the business.  

  • Develop financial dashboards and reports to provide real-time insights to the executive leadership team. 

  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams, and product managers to optimize financial performance and growth strategies.

  • Provide financial insights on market expansion, M&A opportunities, and competitive positioning within the fitness industry. Additionally, advise on capital investments.

  • Implement financial processes to improve operational efficiency.

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing Finance Team (FP&A), fostering collaboration across finance, operations, sales and strategy departments.

  • Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting, forecasting accuracy, and decision-making frameworks.

  • Establish a proactive framework for cost structure strategy and analysis that identifies proactive needs for forward shifts and cost savings opportunities. 

  • Participate in the strategic planning process and support the on time delivery of strategy and tactic execution. 

  • Provide thought leadership into working capital drivers and optimization techniques.

  • Provide discipline to the capital expenditure process, including support for a stage gate NPI process.

  • Participate and drive business case development across all functions. 

  • Drive analysis and optimization of pricing, cost, margin, and market share across multiple product categories.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

  • 12+ years of FP&A, financial strategy, or corporate finance experience.

  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, business intelligence tools, and data analytics.

  • Experience working with senior leadership and cross-functional teams in a dynamic, matrixed, fast-growing industry.

  • Knowledge of fitness industry metrics, digital fitness trends, and consumer health & wellness market dynamics. 

  • Experience in a multi site manufacturing and global sourcing environment. 

  • Experience with an integrated sales and operations planning process.  

  • Able to create and monitor key performance indicators.

  • Up to 20% travel to alternate work locations, inclusive of New York

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based in Woodinville, WA. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes. Our base salary is just one component of our competitive total rewards strategy.
