About the Role

The Sr. Supply Planner is responsible for planning inventory replenishment through various activities relating to internal manufacturing floor activities and outsourcing for components. The position involves a high degree of interaction with Manufacturing, Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, and other departments. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to adapt as structure and processes become more mature and as tools are developed. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Analyze sources of demand including sales shipments, intercompany inventory transfers, manufacturing assembly dependent demand, and general production requirements as directed through the Master Production Schedule
  • Evaluate demand forecasts for raw materials and finished goods across multiple plants and sales territories.
  • Support the Master Scheduler in the evaluation of near-term material shortages.
  • Work with Manufacturing Supervisors to determine efficient quantities to bring in of specific inventory, based on the footprint of the inventory on the manufacturing floor.
  • Correlate manufacturing line stoppages and manufacturing inefficiency with raw material supplier delivery issues
  • Prepare shortage data for regular meetings with Purchasing, and Sales & Operations Planning meetings.
  • Evaluate Safety Stock levels utilizing historical volatility.
  • Plan with consideration of supply chain efficiency, material spend targets, Logistics handling, and supplier performance/reliability.
  • Consolidation of future replenishment requirements to optimize inbound freight.
  • Consolidation of demand from multiple territories into supply plans for domestic and international suppliers
  • Plan material replenishment across a wide variety of replenishment lead times.
  • Responsible for planning, in short, medium, and long-range horizons
  • Assist Purchasing with lifecycle transitions and Engineering Change Order effectivity dates to minimize exposure for obsolete material.
  • Incorporate Customer Service requirements into supply plans.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of supply planning in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with an MRP is required; SAP experience
  • Fundamental understanding of clear-to-build analysis.
  • Skill in building inventory analysis and time-series modeling in Excel
  • Experience with Agile or other BOM management tools.
  • Detail-oriented, results-driven, and proactive, collaborative communication approach.
  • Strong customer service focus and follow-through in meeting internal client needs.
  • Accountability to achieve goals and work independently on assigned tasks
  • Must use a variety of computer programs/systems, at an advanced level, to track results (Excel, Email, Word, PowerPoint, SAP, Agile)

 

Pay Range: $91,000 to $101,000

 

The pay range represents the low and high end of the anticipated pay range for this position based at our Woodinville, WA headquarters. The actual pay offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.
