Administrative Assistant Outpatient Chronic Hemodialysis Program (Pure Life Renal)
The administrative assistant provides the secretarial and clerical duties that are involved in the day to day operations of the dialysis facility
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and
Three to six month related experience and/or training, analytical skills and a self-starter.
JOBE RELATED ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Responsible for answering incoming calls and forwarding the call to the appropriate person.
2. Responsible for greeting all patients and visitors to the clinic and directing them to their appropriate destination.
3. Assists with medical record maintenance.
4. Types, memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents. Performs a variety of clerical duties including filing, copying, etc.
5. Prepares outgoing mail, collects and distributes messages, shops and receives packages.
6. Collects required intake information on new patients. Updates demographic information on exiting patients as needed.
7. Prepares monthly and quarterly lab specimen tubes. Prepares monthly, quarterly and special order laboratory requisitions and specimens for submission to the lab.
8. Verifies patient status daily (i.e. hospitalizations, missing a treatment, late for a treatment) and reports census to the corporates office weekly/monthly.
9. Prints necessary summaries from the computer system (i.3. lab reports, care plans, etc.)
10. Prepares hospital admission packets for dialysis patients.
11. Assist other clerical support staff as needed.
12. Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
13. Other duties as assigned
