Opportunity

Sattler College invites applications for adjunct instructors to teach two introductory counseling courses during the 2024-25 academic year. While the institution does not adhere to a specific counseling model, there is a preference for biblical counseling.

Qualifications and Compensation

Instructors must hold a master’s or doctoral degree relevant to the course, such as LMHC or LSWA. We seek instructors who can support the college's mission and Founding Precepts: Sattler College Founding Precepts.

  • Compensation: $8000 per on-campus course. Lower compensation will be considered for non-local instruction through Zoom, which is dispreferred.

  • Class Size: Enrollment is expected to be no greater than 10 students per course.

  • Schedule: Classes are typically taught weekdays between 8:30am and 5pm. Instructors must also be available for one "office hour" per week, which may be in the evenings or weekends.

  • Term: Instruction in the Fall Semester and/or the Spring Semester is negotiable. See the Academic Calendar for 2024-25 for details, including holidays and breaks.

Located between the Massachusetts State House and Boston's City Hall, the college is easily accessible from stations on each of Boston's T lines and is a short walk from MBTA's North Station.

Why Students Choose Sattler College

Sattler College’s mission is to provide education that instructs the mind, discipleship that shapes the soul, and inspiration that inflames the heart. The modern higher education system rarely tends to the yearnings of the soul nor inspires the passions of the heart. It often fails to educate young people holistically for a life well lived, is frequently hostile to faith, too expensive, and academically weak. Sattler College was founded upon the biblical vision of Christian discipleship that addresses the mind, soul, and heart. Our goal is to enable graduates to heartily say, “For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power, love, and a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7).

Sattler College began offering courses in Fall 2018 and achieved accreditation in Fall 2021. It is a four-year Christian college granting bachelor's degrees in biblical studies, business, computer science, history, and human biology. Students choose Sattler because they want to build their faith while also taking the next steps toward fulfilling God’s plan for their careers. Many Sattler students arrive with significant cross-cultural experiences, have been leaders in their home communities, and are eager to engage in thoughtful service in an urban environment.
