Position Overview:

RoboKind is looking for a talented Junior Unity Developer. This candidate will work with a development team, a product team, and a senior developer to create, maintain, and create a roadmap for our Unity-based projects that are used by students and adults in educational and therapeutic settings. We are looking for someone who is a proactive self-starter that can help take a vision to action. We would like someone who is great with documentation and testing as well. There are growth opportunities within the position for the right candidate as the company continues to expand.

Compensation:  Commensurate with education level and experience; combination of base pay with bonus potential tied to company revenue goal attainment.

Education Level:

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, AND 
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, OR
• Equivalent combination of education and experience

• • Experience with Atlassian Stack (Jira, Confluence, Etc)
  • Proficient with C#
  • Experience in optimizing Unity for FPS, RAM, or Storage memory
  • Experience publishing to iOS, Android, and WebGL platforms
  • Experience working with XCode

  • ·       Experience working with education and/or gaming focused industries preferred
  • ·       Experience working with marketing strategists Proven experience with Unity

  Primary Duties and Responsibilities include:
  • • Collaborating and solving problems as a team
    • Ensuring the timely and successful delivery of product based on sprints/milestones
    • Creating documentation for all development work
    • Building/configuring/deploying both manually and using CI/CD
    • Clearly, effectively, and proactively communicating progress on development work to team members and other internal stakeholders on a regular basis
    • Developing, troubleshooting, and supporting the entire stack
    • ·       Anticipating, identifying, and mitigating risks/challenges/obstacles
    • ·       Proactively identifying and documenting suggestions/recommendations to improve the product and product development process
    • ·       Effectively using various business software tools (project management software, reporting software, etc) to manage information and processes
    • ·       Providing peer to peer mentoring and support
    • ·       Managing and updating all aspects of all company Unity Projects
    • ·       Keeping up to date with the latest features and limits of Unity
    • ·       Working outside of Unity to help others with their work, as needed
    • ·       Understanding and learning the mindset of our target audience/user
    • ·       Creating a great user experience for our audience
    • ·       Optimizing all Unity content to run well on low end devices
    • ·       Thinking of ways to leverage Unity into existing processes and/or creating new processes
    • Ability to adapt and take on additional tasks and responsibilities outside of the job description as asked by leadership
