Director of Performance Marketing Position Overview:

Description of Responsibilities: 

  • Develop a deep understanding of the clinical trial participant acquisition journey from ad to site visit to lead submission to patient qualification. Optimize to reduce the overall cost per participant.
  • Full-Funnel, Cross-Channel Focus: We align all of our efforts with the marketing funnel and we’re looking for our Director of Performance Marketing to own this in all of their efforts
  • Manage the existing paid search program and expand keyword coverage, develop compelling ad copy, manage profitability, maximize lead quality, and optimize Google Ads
  • Manage the paid social programs and retargeting, optimization the core levers including targeting, creative, and bid management
  • Performance: Oversee, optimize, and scale growth marketing initiatives across paid media channels, including but not limited to: Youtube, Podcasts, TV: Broadcast & Connected and new expansion channels as test opportunities are identified
  • Grow distribution across all channels, not just owned channels. Must be skilled in content creation supported by SEO/SEM optimization and PPC strategy
  • Improving digital analytics, working with the team, internal and external stakeholders to ensure all tools are built / connected / accurate to the best degree and meaningful reporting for owned digital is established
  • Working with content team to ensure all content is search friendly and tagged appropriately for both on-site and off-site search engines. This includes social search
  • Website Development and management, introducing landing pages and A/B testing
  • Be the digital representative on campaigns including feeding into briefs, website experience / journey, establishing KPI's, on-site build requirements, tagging and reporting. Support the SEO program by managing tools, communicating best practices and implementing improvements to increase rankings
  • Analysis and Reporting: Work with a cross-functional team to define Artemis's approach to digital analytics. Effectively communicate program successes and learnings across organization
  • A/B Testing: Lead A/B testing efforts on and off our website across creative, messaging, and landing pages, sharing learnings cross-functionally
  • Managing a team of skilled marketing specialists

Required Education and Technical Experience

  • Bachelor’s in Marketing or a related field
  • Experience of minimum 8-10 years in performance and/or digital marketing required (spanning areas such as paid social, paid search (aka. Fluent with Facebook Business Manager, Google Ads, etc.), SEO, display, etc.) Strategic digital experience in the development of digital best practice
  • Experience with creating standard daily / weekly / monthly / quarterly performance reports with actionable insights
  • Proven success in a demand/lead generation environment
  • Technical experience of enterprise content management systems (Episerver, Sitecore, AEM etc.)
  • Strong knowledge and experience of email platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Bronto, Exact Target, etc.)
  • Proven experience in marketing automation systems (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Eloqua, Marketo etc.)
  • Experience working with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Mixpanel, SessionCam etc.)
  • Proficient in using optimization tools (Adobe Test & Target, Optimizely etc.) and social media tools (Hootsuite)
  • Proven experience in paid and organic search knowledge and experience
