We’re an exceptional family of next-generation clinical trial sites, integrating cutting edge technology and high-quality support services, and significantly expanding participant outreach and participation. Founded in 2018, our company is in high growth mode: we operate 15 clinical trial sites in the US and Canada and have rapid expansion plans.                          


The Role

This is a newly created position due to the exciting growth of the company, and will report to the Head of HR. This role will suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and who wants to both enable (and mentor) those around them to create successes and grow. The Recruiter will source, screen, and provide a shortlist of qualified candidates for various roles ranging from entry-level to executive. This role will need to be comfortable independently pulling from their talent acquisition toolbox to source niche roles, research industry champions, and build trusting relationships with business partners. The Recruiter will be part of a team and support the Head of HR in building a world-class recruiting function.

This role may be based remotely, or at one of our site administrative offices. This role will play a critical role in helping Headlands recruit the best people in the industry and support the company’s continued exponential growth.     



•      Source potential candidates on various platforms, including LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and association specific sites

•      Hold intake meetings with hiring managers to hone in on what best qualities are needed per role/site

•      Perform pre-screening calls to analyze applicants’ abilities  

•      Interview candidates combining various methods (e.g. structured interviews, technical assessments and behavioral questions)

•      Craft and send personalized recruiting emails with current job openings to passive candidates  

•      Conduct job, compensation, and task analyses to document job duties and requirements, as well as draft job descriptions from scratch

•      Keep up-to-date with new recruiting trends and products

•      Work with search firm partners as needed for hard-to-fill placements

•      Assist the Head of HR with talent acquisition initiatives (i.e. ATS implementation, compensation analyses, training new managers in hiring, etc.)



Education -

•      Bachelor’s degree required (Management, HR, Communications, preferred)

•      S/PHR Certification plus years’ experience in lieu of degree accepted

Experience -

•      At least 5 years of experience in recruiting

•      Demonstrated knowledge in clinical recruitment (MD, RN, MA, etc.)

•      Experience with clinical trial sites/CROs preferred

•      Proven work experience across several recruiting levels (entry-level to executive)

•      Hands-on experience with various interview formats (phone, video, structured)

•      Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases

•      Solid knowledge of sourcing techniques (social media and Boolean search)
