Responsibilities
- Transportation Project Manager you will be a member of the RRP leadership team and will work closely with both local and cross-office teams to win and deliver work in our Transportation market
- Develop new client relationships for RRP and build on current client relationships, including partnerships with other consulting firms
- Win and manage a variety of transportation projects that you are passionate about, including all elements of the project life-cycle (pre-positioning, pursuit, negotiations, project planning, technical delivery, financial management, etc.)
- Assure client satisfaction
- Serve as a design lead and project manager for state and local government transportation and infrastructure projects including roadways, highways, and freeways.
- Lead the analysis, designs, and preparations of technical reports, plans, specifications and estimates for various transportation projects as well as pursue available opportunities growing and maintaining client relationships.
Qualifications
- 10 plus years of experience in roadway design with at least 2+ years of progressive project management experience
- Project management experience should include client communication and reporting responsibilities, management of deadlines and project deliverables, project execution and quality management, agency coordination, scope and fee development along with project scheduling and tracking of activities
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Texas professional engineering license (or the ability to become licensed in Texas within 6 months)
- Proficient in MicroStation and Geopak/Open Roads
- Strong technical skills in roadway design
- Working knowledge of industry practices and regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- TxDOT and Local Government roadway design project engineering and management experience
