Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related discipline
  • 10+ years of recent water and wastewater engineering experience, including pipelines, pump stations, chemical dosing systems, reservoirs, and similar projects.
  • Professional Civil Engineer license in the state of Texas required, or the ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Project Management experience.
  • Experience supervising engineering personnel in Water/Wastewater project delivery.
  • Experience developing construction documents including plans and technical specifications.
  • Experience developing engineering cost opinions, technical memorandums, and design reports.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize project assignments to meet competing deadlines as well as work independently and within a team setting to support project delivery.
  • A motivated self-starter who displays a passion for solving problems, interacting in a team environment, and meeting established deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze and understand projects, determine project objectives, and develop and implement engineering solutions with limited oversight.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate, both oral and written skills
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, municipal utility districts, public agency officials and community leaders.
  • Actively involved in professional associations and civic organizations

 

Responsibilities

Responsible for providing all aspects of engineering for water/wastewater utility projects for public, private and municipal utility district clients.

  • Prepare proposals, budgets, and client agreements.
  • Lead and oversee design and technical aspects of the team(s) projects including detailed engineering design and calculations, report writing, permitting, and presentations to clients.
  • Write responses to client RFQs and Solicitations
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, public agency officials and community leaders.
  • Coordinate and monitor project tasks, budgets, and schedules
  • Lead project delivery as a Project Manager responsible for technical design, project financial performance, scope and schedule management, project staffing, and quality control. 
  • Direct and manage the implementation of a project including coordination with project stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and other external and internal parties to achieve project milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with the company's Quality Assurance policies and procedures.
  • Oversee and manage construction phases of projects to ensure works are completed in accordance with the contract documents, on time and budget.
  • Meet of Exceed the KPI (Sales, Revenue, Profit, Quality, and Client Satisfaction)
