Modern Family Law, a rapidly expanding national law firm specializing in Family Law, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our offices remotely in California. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced financial professional to step into a growing company and help us meet our strategic financial goals. The selected candidate will be a personable, self-starting, driven, professional.
Modern Family Law has offices in California, Colorado, Texas, and Washington, but its employees are fully remote. This full-time, remote position will report out of our Oakland, California office.
Key Responsibilities:

Review and verify credit card transactions submitted through Ramp, a centralized expense management platform, ensuring client names and unique IDs are accurate for client related expenses.

Assign appropriate billing codes and enter client-related costs into TimeSolv billing system for reimbursement.

Monitor unassigned or unverified expenses to ensure prompt posting and client billing.

Receive, validate, and process vendor invoices through Ramp, ensuring accurate coding and timely payment.

Process employee out-of-pocket reimbursement submitted through Ramp.

Respond to internal and external customer inquiries in a timely, professional, and pleasant manner to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Collaborate with internal departments to verify approvals and resolve invoice discrepancies.

Track key vendors and monitor due dates to prevent late payments.

Reconcile Ramp transactions and support the month-end close process.

Maintain accurate records and support financial reporting needs.

Respond to ad hoc requests as assigned.

Participate in cross-training initiatives within the finance team.

Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Two (2) plus years of accounts payable experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services setting.

Familiarity with Ramp and legal billing systems such as TimeSolv is preferred.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Education and Experience:

Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) certification preferred.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Compensation: $35 - $39 annually. The range presented is a reliable estimate of the base salary that this individual is expected to receive. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, internal and external pay equity, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
