Modern Family Law, a rapidly expanding national law firm specializing in Family Law is looking for a creative, strategic, and collaborative Communications Specialist working remotely to join our People & Culture team. With a direct relationship to the Firm’s HR function while acting as a conduit between HR, Marketing, Learning & Development, and Recruiting, this role will focus on developing and executing communication strategies which enhance the reputation of the Firm as an Employer of Choice while also managing any external and internal communication which focus on the Firm’s employee relations, culture, and brand.

 

To be successful in this role, the Communication Specialist will:

  • Serve as a liaison between HR, Recruiting, and Marketing to develop and execute an employer brand that aligns with the firm’s mission and values.
  • Collaborate with Social Media Manager to create content campaigns showcasing the firm’s culture, career opportunities, and employee experiences across platforms.
  • Develop communication plans for internal and external stakeholders, including managing a routine Firmwide newsletter.
  • Support recruitment efforts with targeted messaging, manage job postings, and ensure alignment with the firm’s employer brand on career sites.
  • Leverage analytics to refine strategies, enhance candidate experience, and promote positive employee experiences and achievements through internal and external communications.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, or Marketing, preferred, but not required. 
  • 3–5 years of experience in social media content creation, employer branding, HR communications, or a related role (preferably in a legal or professional services environment).
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in social media management and digital marketing strategies as it relates to Human Resources, Recruiting, and Learning & Development.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong cross-departmental relationships.
  • Knowledge of employer branding and marketing best practices and trends.

 

Skills and Competencies

  • Experience in the legal or professional services industry.
  • Familiarity with HR systems and recruitment platforms.
  • Graphic design or content creation experience is a plus.
  • Creativity and innovation in branding strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.

Compensation: $62,500 - $90,000 annually. The range presented is a reliable estimate of the base salary that this individual is expected to receive. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, internal and external pay equity, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.  Full-time employees are eligible for health insurance with an optional Flexible Spending Account or a Health Savings Account, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, 401(k) Retirement, vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program to support the personal wellness needs of our employees.
