We are seeking an experienced Floral Event Designer to lead creative vision, steward client relationships, and play a meaningful role in the continued growth and evolution of our studio. This is a hands-on, senior-level position for a confident designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited to shape both extraordinary events and a growing creative business.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Lead client consultations with warmth, confidence, and expertise—guiding clients from initial vision through final execution

  • Conceptualize and design high-end floral events and installations with a strong command of color, texture, seasonality, scale, and form

  • Translate creative concepts into clear, actionable design decks, proposals, and floral recipes

  • Develop detailed floral recipes and cost breakdowns using Excel to support budgeting, sourcing, and production

  • Own and nurture client relationships, ensuring a thoughtful, seamless experience from inquiry to installation

  • Support company growth by identifying new opportunities and participating in outreach to venues, planners, and creative partners

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with venues, hospitality groups, planners, and recurring clients such as weekly and subscription business

  • Lead and actively participate in installations and on-site execution, ensuring every detail is intentional, cohesive, and beautifully realized

  • Coordinate closely with vendors, venues, and internal teams to ensure smooth production and flawless delivery

  • Balance creative ambition with operational thinking—managing budgets, timelines, and logistics with precision

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including creating tables, formulas, and organized worksheets for budgets, floral recipes, and production planning

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and PowerPoint

  • Ability to create and present polished design presentations using tools such as PowerPoint and Canva

  • Experience creating detailed floral recipes and cost breakdowns in Excel

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with comfort working across multiple spreadsheets and documents simultaneously

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortable communicating digitally in fast-paced environments using tools such as WhatsApp, Slack, and email to coordinate schedules, updates, and real-time production needs

Strongly Encouraged

  • Prior experience within the floral industry, particularly in event or large-scale installation work

  • Familiarity with seasonal sourcing, stem counts, pricing, and production logistics

  • A portfolio of previous floral and event work, including installations, events, or large-scale design projects (digital format preferred)

Physical & Work Requirements

This role requires the ability to work in a dynamic production environment. Candidates must be able to:

  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach for extended periods throughout the workday

  • Lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 30 pounds regularly, and occasionally more with assistance

  • Load and unload floral product, supplies, and equipment during event installations and deliveries

  • Work on their feet during long installation days, often exceeding 8–10 hours

  • Safely handle fragile and perishable materials including flowers, glass vessels, candles, and décor

  • Work in environments that may include temperature fluctuations, humidity, floral debris, water, and fragrances

  • Navigate stairs, loading docks, tight hallways, and crowded event venues

This position also requires:

  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules

  • The ability to travel locally to venues, warehouses, and client sites

  • The stamina and focus to perform in high-pressure, fast-paced production settings
