Job Title: Director of Marketing

SUMMARY
The Director of Marketing is responsible for building and maintaining Assisted Living
occupancy through the implementation of a facility marketing plan and application of sales
techniques.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may
be assigned.
Generates new business and maintains existing business
Creates, facilitates and executes marketing plan
Consults with prospective residents to evaluate move-in readiness
Coordinates and schedules assessments
Develops and communicates regular reporting to leaders
Develops and administers marketing database that includes prospect and client
information
Identifies new markets
Develops pricing strategies, balancing firm objectives and customer satisfaction
Provides marketing advice to organizational units
Forecasts anticipated market sales
Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring work activities, such
as preparation of records of expenditures, progress reports, etc., in order to keep top
management informed
Promotes satisfactory customer relations
Maintain HIPAA compliance; confidential residence information, confidential company
information
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and
applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning,
assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees;
addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
CPR certification; AED certification
Communication Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style
Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or
complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions,
proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or
diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
