Job Title: Director of Marketing

SUMMARY
The Director of Marketing is responsible for building and maintaining Assisted Living
occupancy through the implementation of a facility marketing plan and application of sales
techniques.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may
be assigned.
 Generates new business and maintains existing business
 Creates, facilitates and executes marketing plan
 Consults with prospective residents to evaluate move-in readiness
 Coordinates and schedules assessments
 Develops and communicates regular reporting to leaders
 Develops and administers marketing database that includes prospect and client
information
 Identifies new markets
 Develops pricing strategies, balancing firm objectives and customer satisfaction
 Provides marketing advice to organizational units
 Forecasts anticipated market sales
 Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring work activities, such
as preparation of records of expenditures, progress reports, etc., in order to keep top
management informed
 Promotes satisfactory customer relations
 Maintain HIPAA compliance; confidential residence information, confidential company
information
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and
applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning,
assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees;
addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience:
 Bachelors degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
 CPR certification; AED certification
Communication Skills:
 Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents
 Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
 Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style
 Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or
complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
Mathematical Skills:
 Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions,
proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
 Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Reasoning Ability:
 Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
 Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or
diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Computer Skills:
 Microsoft Office Suite
