Position Overview:

The Transition Management Specialist plays a key role in the successful onboarding and transitioning of new Advisors and their team. 

 

Alongside the primary function of assisting new teams with all aspects of the transition process, the Transition Management Specialists builds trusted relationships and provides value added support to new Partners by leveraging key Raymond James contacts, their knowledge of key processes and ability to effectively utilize technology. 

 

The Transition Management Specialist is considered part of the Divisional Management team and as such is involved with a broad range of Division wide activities.

 

Pre Hire:

  • Work with Divisional President to coordinate recruiting calendar

  • Participate in recruiting meetings with Divisional President to build knowledge of the process and establish relationships with Recruits

  • Coordinate and finalize RJ HOV meetings for new Recruits

  • Establish a robust network and building relationships with key Raymond James product specialists

  • Support Divisional President in updating and maintaining SalesForce


 

Transition:

  • Travel to offices within division to support new recruit teams

  • Join day:


  • Be onsite with new recruits

  • Send out client packets

  • Act as Notary for new hire documents and contracts


  • Coordinate conference calls/meetings with new recruits & Raymond James for training

  • Onboarding clients (incl. follow-up and progress monitoring)

  • Process ACATs

  • Assist with Documents Due, Cash/Securities due, householding and mutual fund breakpoint reports, responding to various alerts and notifications as well as assisting with questions at the branch level

  • Acts as liaison between Advisors and RJ departments to provide follow up and ensure completion of transition items

  • Research and help resolve issues related to the transition of new Advisors

  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to update and improve the tools, resources, and best practices that will provide the best possible transition experience for the Advisors and their clients


 

Post Transition:

  • Develop and maintain subject matter expertise on all firm systems

  • Leverage relationships with Raymond James and other external contacts to facilitate Advisors in accessing information and resources

  • Train new recruits on firm technology and be point of contact for questions and escalations

  • Deliver hands on training to existing Advisors and CAMs on new or existing systems

  • Working with Advisors and CAMs to run proposals (during non-transition periods)

  • Serve as back-up CAM support to Advisors and Branch


 

Other:

  • Other ad hoc duties or projects that may be assigned by the SPGA Management team

  • Develop and maintain all relevant communication and resource materials for new Recruits and their teams, e.g. ensuring the RJ Resources & Contact Guide is kept up to date and distributed within Division

  • Book travel for Divisional President

  • Process expenses for Divisional Management

  • Assist with coordinating Divisional events

  • Supports Operations Manager with basic branch supervisory administration


Education, experience, knowledge, and skills:

  • Highly detail-oriented with superior organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Exceptional interpersonal and client service skills
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly grasp technology and train others on the effective use of firm and Raymond James systems
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate with others
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Various locations within the existing SPGA office network.
