About the Role 

The Director of Engineering - Mobile will be a key innovator to drive the organization’s digital health engineering team to deliver highly reliable and responsive applications and services via mobile and web applications that transform how patients with cancer receive personalized, high-quality supportive care. This position will lead the entire Iris development engineering team and be responsible for technical solutions, engineering, execution using agile methodologies, and participate in product strategy.

  • Build and lead development team of mobile and full stack developers to deliver a leading edge digital health platform and application that is data driven and intelligent 
  • Lead the development and delivery of mobile, web, platform services in Azure
  • Integration with third party technology that builds out the full suite of services
  • Ensure overall platform security working with DevOps and Security teams
  • Use Agile practices to plan and forecast releases
  • Work with Product, Design, Clinical, and Architecture teams and contribute to product design and propose technical tradeoffs and innovations
  • Leverage leading edge technologies and drive a personalized user experience
  • Responsible for building a diverse high performing team of exceptionally talented engineers that deliver high quality products that meet or exceed expectations
  • Motivate the team to deliver on time  
  • Establish and maintain a culture that emphasizes two-way feedback, continuous quality improvement, and individual and team development
  • Assess and manage staffing needs to meet deliverables and expectations.
  • Recruit and onboard new hires, facilitating their assimilation into the team and work environment
  • Measure team and individual performance and address any gaps, either by coaching employees to the expected level or managing an exit plan.
  • Review all documents related to Product requirement and participate in Product brainstorming sessions
  • Evaluate and recommend external technologies and coordinate the implementation and integration into the Iris technology stack. Manage development activities with 3rd party vendors and any outsourced development

About You

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience required
  • 10 years relevant technical experience and 7+ years experience with technical team management in high growth application delivery 
  • Experience with mobile, web, and Azure technologies.
  • A strong background delivering solutions in healthcare
  • Ability to use an inspirational, collaborative spirit with a track record of creating innovative high quality, secure, and scalable solutions

  • Has successfully delivered telehealth products and exhibits key competencies in technology platforms and solutions
  • Cross-functional collaboration, influence, and ability to drive execution

About the Location

OncoHealth is committed to remote, hybrid or in office work options.  The majority of the team will be remote or in hybrid work arrangements with offices in Atlanta, GA, Plantation, FL and Guaynabo, PR.  We are open to employees nationwide but work primarily in the Eastern and Central Time Zones.

Our Current Solutions

Through the use of OncoHealth's utilization management system, OneUM, our customers can use a single e-Prior Authorization portal for all oncology drug request and treatments. Our system improves quality of care, reduces provider abrasion and gives health plans visibility into the total cost of oncology treatment.   

OncoHealth offers Oncology Insights Pro, an analytic software solution that enables health plans to use data and analytics to improve oncology programs.  Using real world data, our engineers normalize data to create analytic dashboards with drill down compatibilities.  The data is the paired with expert guidance providing the strategies an insight needed to keep up with the continuing evolving cancer treatment landscape.   

OncoHealth offers Pharmacy Consulting services to health plans and pharmaceutical companies.  New cancer treatments are entering the market at an unrelenting pace.  Since 2018, the FDA approved 121 new cancer applications including 49 novel cancer drug entities.  Our Board-Certified Oncology Pharmacologists can help health plans update drug policies, offer utilization management and formulary advice, and development training for staff.
