About the Role


The Lead Business Analyst for UM Operations manages the technical operations and quality team supporting the Utilization Management business. As the technical liaison with the 3rd party UM software vendor, this role and their team is responsible for coordinating product releases, ensuring system quality, designing workflows, managing the delivery of new customer scope, and providing production support to internal and external application users.

  • You will champion operational efficiency across users of the UM software application 
  • Provide program leadership to elicit requirements, document workflows, and design solutions to meet the UM business needs 
  • Collaborate effectively with product, business users, QA and 3rd party development teams to define and communicate release plans and status updates to the organization 
  • Facilitate user acceptance stakeholder testing 
  • Support new client UM implementations by loading and testing new configurations and facilitating release updates with the platform vendor 
  • Work with client services and implementation team to be a subject matter expert on application configuration and functionality
  • Manage the UM production support framework that requires resolution within the 3rd party platform 
  • Work closely with the Client Success team to ensure continuity within the customer support model to intake and resolve client tickets and change requests related to the technology platform and data operations, including authorization file error resolution 
  • Collaborate with external platform vendor to issue development tickets, escalate issues and monitor production release communications 
  • Work with the platform vendor on foundational configuration including user account setup, security templates, workflow, letter templates and loading new rules
  • Ensure quality delivery of new features, configuration changes and enhancements in the 3rd party platform 
  • Provide input on issues that impact quality, system stability, and performance and communicate to business stakeholders 
  • Work with the implementation team to incorporate proper test plan coverage for end-to-end new client testing

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant experience required
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, JIRA, Rally or similar ALM tools is required, as well as Visio or similar tools required
  • Minimum of 4 years in an agile environment is required or relevant educational/professional attainment required
  • Prior experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager designing Cloud/SaaS products is preferred
  • Advanced code understanding to be able to identify issues and read logs and run queries and experience delivering solutions in healthcare and a familiarity with healthcare data and concepts is a plus
  • Must possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills and comfortable presenting ideas to peers and across the company
  • Ability to diagnose and solve internal and external user-reported problems ranging from simple to complex issues on functionality, usage, and troubleshooting within the established guidelines

Our Current Solutions


Through the use of OncoHealths' utilization management system, OneUM, our customers can use a single e-Prior Authorization portal for all oncology drug request and treatments. Our system improves quality of care, reduces provider abrasion and gives health plans visibility into the total cost of oncology treatment.   

OncoHealth offers Oncology Insights Pro, an analytic software solution that enables health plans to use data and analytics to improve oncology programs.  Using real world data, our engineers normalize data to create analytic dashboards with drill down compatibilities.  The data is the paired with expert guidance providing the strategies an insight needed to keep up with the continuing evolving cancer treatment landscape.   

OncoHealth offers Pharmacy Consulting services to health plans and pharmaceutical companies.  New cancer treatments are entering the market at an unrelenting pace.  Since 2018, the FDA approved 121 new cancer applications including 49 novel cancer drug entities.  Our Board-Certified Oncology Pharmacologists can help health plans update drug policies, offer utilization management and formulary advice, and development training for staff.
