POSITION SUMMARY

As the Receiving Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse Receiving department including retail, wholesale, drop-ship, and transfer orders. The successful candidate will have experience managing a team of warehouse associates and providing them with training to succeed in their roles. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with the on site Managers to develop an effective and efficient operating rhythm for the outgoing shipments and transfers; audit processes and progress and achieve operational goals.

  • Supervise shipping associates; create work schedules for order pickers, packers, and freight loaders.

  • Plan and delegate daily work assignments and deadlines, train employees and provide continuous feedback and coaching to ensure employees are successful and productive.

  • Assist warehouse associates in pulling parts, researching can’t find part numbers, loading delivery vans and checking for inventory accuracy.

  • Audit outgoing freight for proper counts and codes, update records and reports, manage the operation budget for shipping supplies, etc.

  • Supervise the verification of all inbound shipments to ensure they are correct and meet time disposition goals for delivery to KSI Customers.

  • Monitors shrink levels and ensure practices are in place to reduce damages and loss.

  • Manage the process of inventory transfers to other warehouses; prepare parts and load them on shuttle trucks

  • Ensure all employees adhere to all OSHA and KSI Auto Parts safety and compliance standards; provide a safe and hazard-free environment for all employees; safely operate warehouse equipment such as a cherry picker, stock picker, and forklift.

  • Ensure all warehouse associates are complying to company policies and procedures.

  • Reduce turnover by employee engagement, coaching and development.

  • All Supervisors are expected to optimize physical inventory levels by assisting in cycle counts and performing other general-related duties as required and assigned.

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

·         A high school diploma or GED

·         At least 4 years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, shipping or receiving, (preferably within the automotive parts industry.)

·         At least 2 years of front line management experience

·         Ability to lift to 50 lbs. at a time

·         Experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing, and geographically distributed environment

·         Knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), WTS (Warehouse Transportation Systems), VTS (Vehicle Tracking System), VRS (Vehicle Routing Systems) or other Shipping and Receiving systems

·         Strong technical skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)

·         Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to communicate effectively clearly and concisely with others

·         Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively solve problems, think for themselves and create practical solutions to complex analytical and organizational challenges with little oversight

·         Strong time management and organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects to get things done; ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines

·         Flexibility to work variable schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
