Position Summary

As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for building strong relationships and providing exceptional service to our existing customers while understanding their goals to better serve their needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in active sales, a customer-first mentality, and experience promoting sales growth via multiple channels. Position Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with existing and potential customers; regularly visit their business sites, respond to inquiries, solve any customer issues
  • Visit customer sites to resolve any discrepancies; identify the root cause of unhappy customers and find ways to solve and prevent future issues from occurring
  • Understand the customer profile including where they buy from, why they pick other businesses, what are their prices, their discounts, etc.
  • Periodically review customer discounts; ensure KSI is providing the best quality service and benefits to our valued customers
  • Ensure proper communications channels are coordinated with the operations team to meet organization goals; ensure our current protocols are providing customers with the best offering in terms of quality, reliability, service, selection, and pricing
  • Actively search and recruit new target customers; develop accounts and increase customer count
  • Grow sales, monitor progress and achieve sales targets; coordinate and execute KSI’s marketing and sales plans including sales campaigns; assist in the development of the sales budget and promotional materials to enhance product sales
  • Stay updated with company products and protocols and be able to convey product information and availability to customers
  • Collaborate with others to manage the reduction of damages, returns, and credits
  • Occasionally assist in delivering parts to customers and provide exceptional customer service at each visit
  • Tour the warehouse regularly and interact with frontline sales employees, continuously evaluate sales operations, and proactively solicit feedback from employees to improve our sales processes; make recommendations to Regional Sales Managers and VP of Sales, as needed
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned


Qualifications:

We’re looking for qualified candidates who have the following minimum requirements:

  • At least 3 years of Sales experience, particularly in a geographically distributed environment
  • A clean Motor Vehicle Record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
  • Effective selling, negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to achieve better deals and value-added results for KSI while maintaining a strong relationship with our counterparts
  • Strong technical skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to clearly and effectively cascade important messages to your team in order for everyone to have all the information they need to know to be successful at their job
  • Incredible customer service skills and the passion to help people by listening intently and resolving their needs in a professional and timely manner
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively solve problems, think for themselves and create practical solutions to complex analytical and organizational challenges with little oversight
  • Strong time management and organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects to get things done; ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
  • A high degree of confidentiality and ethical practice
  • Ability to travel as needed (approximately 80%)


Compensation Package and Perks:

  • Competitive salary based on experience level: $16.00 - $18.00 base
  • Monthly Incentives: Available after 90 days of employment, based on performance
