POSITION SUMMARY

The Inbound Supervisor is responsible for overseeing an inbound receiving shift. They will provide direct supervision of KSI warehouse associates, drive continuous focus in quality and schedule performance, audit inventory, ensure associates follow safety standards and creates a culture of safety, maintain warehouse associates' time schedules. The Inbound Supervisor is responsible for ensuring compliance with all KSI Policies, site-specific practices, and applicable state and federal laws. Likewise, it is imperative that the Inbound Supervisor utilizes leadership skills to build an engaged workforce that achieves key performance indicators related to safety, efficiency, and accuracy and reduces turnover through employee engagement.


 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with the Distribution Manager to develop an effective and efficient operating rhythm for the incoming shipments and transfers; monitor processes and progress and achieve operational goals.
  • Supervise receiving associates; create work schedules for freight receiving and put away crews.
  • Plan and delegate daily work assignments and deadlines., train employees, and provide continuous feedback and coaching to ensure employees are successful and productive.
  • Assist warehouse associates in locating parts, assign a correct location to incoming parts, bin location maintenance and checking for inventory accuracy.
  • Check incoming freight for proper counts, codes and labels, update records and reports, supervise the operation for receiving, etc.
  • Supervise all inbound shipments to ensure they are correct and carried out in a timely fashion.
  • Monitors shrink levels and ensure practices are in place to reduce damages and loss.
  • Manage inventory transfers coming from other warehouses; reroute transfers where applicable and add correct totals to inventory.
  • Ensure all employees adhere to all OSHA and the company’s safety and compliance standards; provide a safe and hazard-free environment for all employees; safely operate warehouse equipment such as a cherry picker, stock picker, and forklift.
  • Ensure all warehouse associates are complying with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide reporting as necessary.
  • All supervisors are expected to ensure physical inventory levels are optimal by assisting in cycle counts and perform other related duties as required and assigned.
  • May be required to come in on weekend based on company needs
  • Ensure all employees adhere to KSI Covid protocols, guidance, and policies


 QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  •  A high school diploma or GED
  •  At least 4 years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, shipping or receiving, (preferably within the automotive parts industry.)
  •  At least 2 years of front-line management experience
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. at a time
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing, and geographically distributed environment
  • Knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), WTS (Warehouse Transportation Systems) or other Shipping and Receiving systems
  • Strong technical skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to communicate effectively clearly and concisely with others
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively solve problems, think for themselves and create practical solutions to complex analytical and organizational challenges with little oversight
  • Strong time management and organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects to get things done; ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
  • Flexibility to work variable schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays


Compensation Package:

Competitive hourly wage based on experience level : $18.00-$20.50
