BEKO Technologies, Corp. is a manufacturer of all the ancillary components and system solutions associated with compressed air and gas and we are looking for an In-House Service Technician. The In-House Service Technician will provide tactical support to new and existing customers for compressed air treatment products and systems. This position requires occasional travel, but not more than 10%. The person will work from the companies headquarter in Atlanta.

 


Description of Duties:

 

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

 

  •     Complete server management and responsibility to ensure that the server OS and virtual machine environment are optimized and highly available.
  •       Installs, modifies, and makes minor repairs to computer hardware and software systems and provides technical advice and support to system users.
  • Identifies and procures the hardware and software needed to satisfy business requirements.
  • Maintains and continuously improves a stable network environment in accordance with company policy as a member of the Global IT Team (GIT).
  • Identifies weaknesses within the IT environment and infrastructure and proactively develops solutions and implementation plans to meet the demands of the business.
  • Installs hardware and peripheral components, as needed, throughout the organization.
  • Manages software packages and distributions, application license assignments, and allowances within the organization.
  • Assists in the customization and adaptation of existing programs to meet user requirements.
  • Provides telephone, in-person, and online support to end-users and responds to and closes all assigned tickets as submitted via the Helpdesk.
  • Responsible to maintain and keep organized a clean and tidy, easily accessible server room.
  • Provides updates, status, and completion information to managers and/or end-users.
  • Maintains an up to date list of hardware in use in the company, as well as a plant layout detailing installed hardware, its identification information, and use (e.g. Wi-Fi access points, printers, etc.).
  • Refers major hardware problems to service personnel for correction or repair.
  • Executes the initial hardware setup and provides IT specific training (e.g. overview of applications, GIT guidelines, etc.) for all new hires as it relates to the specific job role.
  • Organizes on-going, continuous education, training, and communication to all staff to constantly improve employees’ capabilities with and understanding of technology as used in the company.
  • Full user rights management including administering email accounts.
  • Assists in research and procurement of computer accessories and supplies.

 

Job Requirements:                        

 

  •     HS diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  •     3+ years of IT support experience


Work Environment

This position operates in a clerical, office setting. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, fax machines, 2-hole punch and built-in filing system.
