Job Description

MISSION

Serve as the Candidate Engagement Manager of a not-for-profit organization to manage a cybersecurity work force through candidate recruitment and case management. Candidate Engagement Manager will also develop and manage curriculum and training classes.

 

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:

The Candidate Engagement Manager reports to the Program Director and ensures all efforts are synced and coordinated with the overall CyberUp mission. The Candidate Engagement Manager will be responsible for day-to-day operations and managing. This includes: recruitment of new partners (school, nonprofit, and business), recruit candidates to participate in cyber training program, support wrap around services as case manager to ensure candidate success, coordination of volunteers to serve in cyber training program, helping and creating program budgets in collaboration with future Candidate Engagement Managers. The Candidate Engagement Manager must have an enthusiastic style which welcomes input and embraces teamwork and demonstrates the following skills:

§  Assist in the development of short- and long-term plans for programs, monitor progress, assure adherence, communication, evaluate performance, and candidate meetups.

  • Assist in design of performance objectives and implement and monitor programming to meet desired outcomes.
  • Develop yearly outreach plan according to program needs and capacity.
  • Ensure database(s) maintenance which include(s) participant and prospect information and mailing list.
  • Organize and establish meetings on regular basis with designated individuals to foster positive relationships.
  • Supervise volunteers by articulating expectations, displaying model behavior, maintaining open lines of communication and being clear about roles and relationships.
  • Identify volunteer needs and follow recruiting and training procedures in a timely manner.
  • Organize training seminars to address volunteer needs and identify relevant external training opportunities.
  • Assist in the management of fiscal operations including budget development, modifications.  Track expenditures. Continually monitor the program’s financial health and make recommendations to the Program Director.
  • Assist with the development of public relations and communications strategies to support program goals and increase community awareness.

  • Experienced in developing and managing budgets, recruiting, training, supervising and assessing volunteers.

§  Able to coordinate networking events and meetups.

  • Must be highly organized and able to work well with others.
  • Able to align CyberUp work scope with the goals, mission and vision of our programs.
  • Event planning; Curriculum planning and implementation.
  • Flexible; possessing the ability to wear different, “hats” on short notice.
  • Bachelors of Arts in education, youth development, social work or related disciplines is preferred.
