Role Description 

The Events and Ecosystem Coordinator has a vital role, building key relationships with partners who are aligned with the Bunker Labs' mission. The person we are looking for must be able to adapt in a fast-paced environment, eager for the challenge, willing to find creative solutions to achieve the right outcomes, and reflect the professionalism, ethics, humility, and culture of the team of military veterans and spouses who are working with the Bunker Labs organization.  This role will assist in the implementation of strategies to support entrepreneurs and foster innovation in the military community. Please note: This is a fully remote position.

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

      • Maintain relationships between Bunker Labs partnerships, affiliates, SME’s, etc. that will help Bunker Labs become a valuable hub for entrepreneurship within the military community. 
      • Build long-lasting relationships between partners that align with our values around diversity, equity, and inclusion. 
      • Use events as a method to move the Bunker Labs mission forward by maintaining win-win partnerships for our stakeholders and program participants. 
      • Organize and support events that promote entrepreneurship and innovation, such as pitch competitions, hackathons, and networking events. 
      • Create and manage events that provide resources and support to entrepreneurs, such as mentorship, training, and access to funding. 
      • Manage the planning team for Showcase, our bi-annual event for Veterans in Residence program participants. 
      • Create and implement best practices for company events, including Showcase, Bunker Connect, and other opportunities with potential to recruit diverse and key stakeholders for our program participants that lead to relevant business connections for Bunker Labs entrepreneurs. 
      • Be the go-to person for Bunker Labs Ambassadors for event needs, which include logistical support, community budget management, and registration.  
      • Ensure adherence to strategic vision and long-term strategies which effectively and responsibly allocate resources in a manner consistent with Bunker Labs’ mission and priorities. 
      • Coordinate with development, programs, and marketing to ensure impact, delivery, and messaging all cohesively align with the company’s mission and values. 
      • Collaborate with other ecosystem builders and stakeholders to ensure a coordinated and effective approach to supporting veteran and military spouse entrepreneurs. 
      • Provide thought leadership, feedback, and support to help the continual improvement of Bunker Labs' programmatic initiatives and experiences. 
      • Implement strategies to support entrepreneurs and foster innovation in the community. 
      • Build relationships with key stakeholders, including entrepreneurs, investors, government officials, and community organizations. 
      • Conduct research and analysis to understand the needs and opportunities of local entrepreneurship ecosystems. 


Qualifications for the Role: 

Skills: 

      • Detail-oriented – must be able to create and implement a plan and evaluate the outcomes. 
      • Must be highly organized with good time management. 
      • Must be highly motivated and a self-starter, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, possessing strong leadership and collaboration skills. 
      • Must be able to work independently in an outward-facing role, while pivoting between strategy and tactical execution. 
      • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and listening skills. 
      • Developed leadership and management skills – must be able to represent Bunker Labs to stakeholders, businesses, and partners. 
      • Project management skills, with the ability to plan, implement, and evaluate programs and events. 
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and challenges facing entrepreneurs and develop effective solutions. 
      • Possess a strong understanding of entrepreneurship and the needs of veterans and military spouses. 
      • Working knowledge of ecosystems, entrepreneurship, general business operations, accelerator, incubator, and mentorship programs. 
      • Understand working relationships with city departments, partner organizations, etc. to assist in resolving issues of existing businesses. 
      • Must be comfortable with technology and software, as this is a fully remote work environment including Microsoft 365 and EventBrite.


Types of Experience: 

      • Demonstrated ability to create and activate networks. 
      • Record of success working with stakeholders such as partner organizations, board of directors, local community leaders, public, and staff 
      • Event planning with a keen eye for logistics and details is strongly preferred. 
      • Private or public sector sales and/or coordinator background desired. 
      • Understanding of the non-profit sector and how organizations work together for mutual benefit. 
      • Familiarity with veteran service organizations and/or entrepreneurship service organizations is preferred.
      • Military veteran or military spouse a big plus 
      • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college in Public or Business Administration, Economic Builder, or a related field

Salary Range: $55,000 to $70,000 

Bunker Labs looks at compensation as a whole picture, with salary being a piece of overall compensation. Your individual salary will vary based on experience, education, and skills.
