Overview of Role
The Regional Experience Director is responsible for the world-class implementation of the Bunker Labs continuum of support through the local chapters within their region. They do this by ensuring each local chapter is staffed with at least two exceptional volunteer leaders and programming happens consistently across all chapters within their region according to the Bunker Labs program model. The Regional Experience Director must be able to adapt in a fast-paced environment, eager for the challenge, willing to find creative solutions to achieve the right outcomes, and reflect the professionalism, ethics, humility, and culture of the team of military veterans who are working for and with the Bunker Labs organization. The Regional Experience Director reports directly to the Regional Executive Director.
Primary Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Lead volunteer chapter leaders and ensure each experience created by Bunker Labs, such as Bunker Brews or CEO Circle, is best in class and provides the maximum amount of value to the veteran or family member entrepreneur
- Take a lead role in ensuring the experience of the volunteer chapter leaders (on-boarding, sustainment and support, off-boarding) is world class and contributes to the development of the individuals and the organization
- Collaborate with Regional Executive Director and national team members to develop a regional Bunker Labs events calendar across all chapters within the region
- Serve as business partner to the Executive Director, providing thought leadership and guidance on event and experience execution while helping develop volunteer chapter leaders
- Represent Bunker Labs at regional and national entrepreneur and/or veteran events
- Support the annual execution of Muster events
- Support and manage resources with the Veterans in Residence (ViR) Program (launched in partnership with WeWork) or other Stage 2 programming, as applicable
- Grow community engagement and impact within each of the chapter cities within the region
Qualifications for Role
Experience/Skills:
- Required
- Ability to create exceptional experiences and lead others to do the same in order to deliver impact at scale
- Ability to manage a volunteer workforce and inspire each chapter leader to achieve strategic objectives and maintain high quality programming standards
- Ability to understand, track, measure, and adjust how effectively impact is being delivered by Bunker Labs within the region
- Flexibility to adjust to changing conditions while maintaining focus and achieving objectives
- Discipline to work within an environment that requires self-imposed structure while at the same time possessing the creativity to design and implement inspiring events
- Ability to work as a member of a national distributed team
- Demonstrated experience in educating and coaching team members
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel to regional and national events

- Fluency with social media and other communication tools
- Familiarity with veteran service organizations and/or entrepreneurship service organizations
- Entrepreneurial experience
- Experience working with volunteer staff
- Demonstrated experience cultivating relationships with external organizations
