Location: Rochester, MN
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (40+ hours per week)
Salary: $22.42 - $36.22 per hour (Performance-Based Pay)
Lunch: 30-Minute Unpaid Lunch Break (Mandatory)
Breaks: Two 15-Minute Paid Breaks (Mandatory)

Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to join our team. The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for generating and closing sales leads, managing customer relationships, and providing exceptional service to both existing and new clients. You will play a key role in supporting the sales team, ensuring accurate order processing, and helping our clients find the right products to meet their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Generation: Proactively reach out to potential clients via phone, email, and other communication channels to generate new business and follow up on inbound inquiries.
- Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, offering tailored solutions to meet their specific needs.
- Order Management: Process orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery, and resolve any customer inquiries related to order status or products.
- Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on BDS’s product offerings, including doors, hardware, and specialty items, to assist customers in selecting the best products for their projects.
- Sales Support: Collaborate with the outside sales team and other departments to ensure smooth operations and effective follow-through on customer orders and requests.
- Quote Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely quotes based on customer requirements, ensuring competitive pricing and optimal solutions.
- Customer Service Excellence: Provide top-tier customer service, addressing any issues, concerns, or returns in a professional and prompt manner.
- Sales Reporting: Maintain records of sales activities, track sales performance, and report regularly to management on progress toward sales goals.
- Team Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams (shipping, logistics, operations) to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled on time and to the highest standard.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with commercial doors, hardware, or related products is a plus.
- Sales Certifications: Experience with sales training or certifications (e.g., SalesForce, Sandler Sales Training) is a bonus.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction blueprints and specifications.
- Familiarity with estimating software and digital tools.
- Strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in Division 8 (doors, frames, hardware) or construction estimating is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field is a plus or at BDS desertion.
- At least three years of related experience required or at BDS desertion.
