Lead Field Technician – Northern California

Summary
The Lead Air Quality Technician – Northern California is responsible for assessments, assembly, installation, monitoring, maintenance and service of IQAir air filtration solutions. In addition, they will oversee, train and coach a team of Air Quality Technicians in the performance of work to IQAir standards. The Lead Air Quality Technician is an indoor air quality and HVAC/R subject matter expert for the organization and makes recommendations for new installations, customized solutions and modifications. They work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
Conduct, and oversee a team of Air Quality Technicians performing, site assessments, installations and maintenance of air cleaning technology, system evaluation and repair of returned IQAir systems.
Train, coach and develop a team of Air Quality Technicians in the performance of work to IQAir standards, emphasizing added value services such as IAQ issue identification, HVAC system issues, etc.
Resolve technical issues by leading troubleshooting efforts
Receive and account for inventory sent to Northern receiving location as well as equipment inventory and truck stock
Ensure team’s compliance with IQAir quality expectations and department policy & procedures
Ensure team meets project schedule and budget
Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders including the department manager, other team leaders, Project Managers, team members, vendors and subcontractors
Provide complete and accurate verbal and written updates
Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, IQAir Sustain, IQAir Zero and Dynamics to complete required reports, documentation and review data
Plan and prepare materials, tools and equipment for jobs
Demonstrate ability to safely operate required equipment
Ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations and company policies
Recommend improvement of processes, procedures, products and services
Provide feedback to department manager on team member performance of work, assist with the completion of performance reviews
Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours and travel to customer job sites as required.

Drives company vehicles in a safe manner

Qualifications
Associates Degree or Technical School Certification in HVAC/R
4+ years of experience with commercial HVAC/R or related field with at least 2 years of team lead experience
Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and general construction
Knowledge of Lead & Asbestos
Knowledge of field safety practices
Good mechanical and technical skills
Must be able to communicate in English both verbally and in written form
Valid Driver’s License
Safe driving record
ERP/CRPM experience desired
Intermediate to advanced skill with MS Office Outlook, Excel & Word
Ability to type 40 wpm
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
Ability to pass Department of Justice LiveScan background check

What IQAir offers
At IQAir, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this position is between $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 annually and most new hires start at $85,000.00. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications and experience.
